AliExpress is bad in so many ways. I am battling 3 sellers there now, (one for non-delivery of items ordered, another for only shipping one item when i ordered and PAID for two, and another for a wrong item.)
AliExpress is not a good place to buy anything at all from my recent experience with them. They drag out the dispute process until the refund protections run out. Their customer communications is literally non-existent.
Iām biting no pillows with them! I have always had reservations with aliexpress as they donāt use PayPal, that speaks volumes to me.
Itās a shame really because lite teck have been regarded as reliable on BLF but of course any vendor that sends a working light is a decent seller, itās when you get a duff one and ask for a replacement, thatās when you see who are good and who are bad.
I have bought from 14 dealers under the Aliexpress umbrella & have had only one problem. Item was not delivered & I raised a dispute after 43 days ( max is 45 days) & after 5 days there was no response from dealer & I received a full refund. Because of the exchange rate I actully got back slightly more than I paid
All others were fine. Delivery in some cases was a bit slow but thatās par for the course.
I pay with a Debit Card so unless I have transferred money into the account the transaction will be rejected.
Iām not really saying avoid aliexpress, although I might be next week. I have had good experiences there as well, but I now understand why people donāt want to use them, you feel a bit vulnerable with PayPal.
Alipay is pretty much similar to Paypal. Just follow the standard dispute, despite whatever the seller says, and the system should work well to protect you.
Alipay is even tighter than PP - for PP, seller doesnāt reply, you have to escalate otherwise you automatically lose. With Alipay, seller doesnāt reply, you straight win by default.
Do you think a 8 year old will get this picture? I donāt think so.
If a ākidā gets the meaning of that picture, itās old enough.
Iām sure some older people have more problems getting the sense of that image.
to topic: I have a lot good experiences with AE and a only a few bad ones.
The bad ones mostly were on ultra-cheap items (5m LED 3528 Tape for 0.99 or so), mostly I got the money back.
If you just let the dispute open, it will hurt the sellers repute on AE, so they will do more stuff for you the longer the dispute is open.
Well glad to hear that the dispute system works. The thing that make be a problem is if lite teck asks me to send the light back. Postage is expensive here and not worth it.
Most annoying thing on aliexpress for me is when I buy something that is supposed to be shipped via āChina Post Registered Air Mailā (often I do pay for registered shipping) but seller ships it unregistered anyway and claims it will arrive sooner and more safely, and lately, this happens more and more :Sp
Most of them never actually arriveā¦ |(
Most of the time itās the kids that can understand things when the parents donāt. A couple years ago on Christmas morning, my teenage grandson and I were snickering at his mother because the hat she had gotten looked like a Japanese CatchKuma hat. She didnāt have a clue. We had to explain to her what a internet meme was and why we were snickering.
Thatās a risk when buying anything direct from China no matter who the seller is or what is being bought. Buying from sellers more local to you is usually safer if there is a problem; return postage is cheaper and their response faster. It will usually cost more initially though.
You pays your money and takes your choice- one loss can offset a whole lot of previous gains from buying āon the cheapā.
Believe me I have had trouble with PayPal as well. I also donāt always like the way they do business. Like I say this is just my experience with a seller on Ali. When or if I get a refund, I will update.
