Man those look sweet! I can’t wait to get mine. I spent so much time putting this post together that I didn’t put my order in right away. :weary:
I asked Simon about creating short 18350 tubes for both the red and the blue S2. It sounds like he likes the idea. I don’t have any promises yet but it looks like our chances are good. I suggested he sell them with a new design deep carry clip similar to the BLF A6 clip (but better of course). I Think a shorty S2 with a deep carry clip would be awesome. The bolt on clip currently available for the Convoy S series is a bit of a stinker in my opinion. I suggested he do it in stainless to match the switch cover. There is already an area that would work for clip placement if he used a solid ring instead of a snap on clip. That way you could just add or remove the clip by unscrewing the tail cap.
Though it doesn’t quite fit this gives you an idea what it might look like minus the wings. Just pretend it’s on a short tube and not the standard S2+ I stole from my wife’s purse.

The switch on my Blue S2+ is wayy nicer than my red one. The switch is taller on the blue one and has a more satisfying click opposed to the mushy feeling of the red one.
Are you sure that your Red S2+ isnt a fake ? As this is pretty much the main difference between the real and fake switch + the obvious material differences (steel vs aluminium).
I didn’t think about that when I first read that post. You may be onto something there sumone. Hey Bugsy, is the switch on your red one stainless or painted silver? Did you by any chance buy it from Gearbust? The switch on the red and blue should be identical. If your red one is a fake you should request they send you a genuine red S2+. If you can post a clear pic of the switch we can tell you in a second if it’s the real or fake. The blue lights haven’t been out long enough to fake yet so I’m sure that one is real.
I actually got it early on in the red release from FastTech, but I’m pretty sure it’s real. The internals look like the “real” pics in the comparisons with the fakes. They look brass opposed to stainless or painted silver.
Regarding the switches, the blue and red look the same except for the switch height.
Yep looks like you’re right on that one. Must have been a different source or Simon tweaked it but those both look legit. Glad the new one is even better. I haven’t got my blue one yet but I’m looking forward to it.
Knock it off!!! You guys are trying to make me order a blue one and I haven’t even gotten my two real red ones yet.

The Blue is actually lighter than I expected, but the shade is still very nice
I can confirm the switches have changed, for the better, much easier to click in on the blue one
Standing comparison
The tailcap fit is improved compared to the past, especially when you look at a late production grey version, although this could be because the blue one is the only I got direct from Simon

I’m holding out for blue 18350 with clips that would rock. Note a ReyLight ti clip works well on 18350 convoys using M2 nuts and bolts.
Ordered 4x Blue ones direct from Simon 23.August, and the lights is still in China. 
Simon has always shipped the lights I have got from him fast, but not this time. And I ordered before the % offer and E-pack, so I had to pay full price, and got slow slow shipping.

Done that, but he mixed the orders or something, for he was talking about batteries and their slow shipping, but I did not order any batteries with the lights.
