very strange behavior BANGGOOD

I have had similar problems getting my 9.9 deals done. I did manage to get my Olight S15R in the end after similar hassles to yourself but the second time I went on I have failed completely to get the item I wanted. Luckily this time it was an impulse purchase Nitecore Tube in white (at £3.92 it was hard to resist). I am not going to go back in for that one as it is not worth the effort frankly and I know sooner or later someone will have it on sale again at a similar price.

I don’t think Banggood has done this deliberately but at sale time it really sorts the men from the boys when it comes to web sites.

USB wiederaufladbare LED-Leuchte Nitecore T Series Tube 45LM Schlüsselanhänger Sale - Banggood Deutschland ( non aff )
The Nitecore tube is still available for less than 4 quid, without any efforts. If you need it, it is right there!

I have been right the way through to confirming the payment about six times in the last hour. It always falls at the last fence.

I am currently in Europe and the morning on BG was like hell, nothing worked. However, at this point in time all the offers are valid and I can checkout and pay. Never thought this would happen…

Still not working here. . None of them… Even a toothbrush… Not able to click on the button… Now tested on 3 browser x 7 PC plus a tablet and a phone

Same here - "rush to buy" was a waste of time. The whole website seemed to have issues.

i tried to snap things on my android phone - but failed because i had trouble being logged in at the productpage ….
on other pages it was okay

minutes ago i used my laptop (win 7) and 2 windows and hunted that android miniPC and the silicone wires.

clicked like a idiot the last 30 secs
both pages went direct to PayPal (i was logged in in a third window)
klicked “pay now“ (or so….)
and got a “sorry sold out“ for the miniPC and a order confirmation for the wires…

also bought some of the 9.90 items

it does work

A bit off topic here, but still, it’s about banggoods 9-9 anniversary.

Banggoods giveaway got deleted? Anyone know why?

i think because someone pointed it was against BLF rules to require someone to buy something, even so i think it’s a bit controversial for 2 reason,
1.the requirement was that something had to be bought before and in a determinated contest; the 9.9 day contest (well, maybe the contest had to be submitted the day after so no more buys could have been made)
2. this has happened before IIRC with worst conditions (ex. you have to buy something in that moment to partecipate contrary have what BG contest asked) IHMO it was a good commercial move, that contest, many BLFers had bought something anyway on 9.9 (because it’s our instinct and our hands are full of holes) and BG seemed to care about our preception of its shop…. commercially speaking

I see.
Thanks for the information.

I think it was meant well and not really a way to force people to buy, but I can see why it’s against the rules.
And a giveaway with people having to buy something first is indeed not really a giveaway but more a gamble.

I copied my Paypal password in the clipboard so I could log in as fast as possible, if you struggle only a few seconds the deals are gone….
Sometimes the rush buy now button needed to clicked twice because the first time said”select shipping method”
Logging in in banggood doesn’t help, you get directly redirected to PayPal if it works.
I tried half a dozen things and my snap up skills improved a bit after learning how it works. 1pcs deals should be ignored there is no chance to get one, aim for the 30pcs and 50pcs things.

I got the car charger for a reduced price and the mushroom air humidifier for 0.1$.

One of the problems was that the “rush to buy” wasn’t clickable for many customers and hitting it did absolutely nothing. On other occasions the entire site became unresponsive.

But Paypal worked for me, I just stay logged in all the time (auto-reload the tab) and there is no need to copy/paste the password.

that happened to me also - but only when the window (where the snap deal opened) logged me out

If 100 people or so do a purchase on your site because of the giveaway, and you give away three items, that is not a giveaway or celebration, that is making money.

That’s why it should have been done the day after… Not the same of the contest and the purchase should have met the promotional day requirement

Yeah, it was the same thing with me… I don’t know if they upped their servercapacity or what, but in the evening everything worked quite good and I got to order what I wanted! …and somethings I didn’t even know I needed… :~

the BG mobile app was an epic fail.

Initially it provided a white screen until the error message came up (this was valid for European 6am - 10am roughly) The entire app didn’t load, nothing! It recovered and some connectivity was available before lunch time and at least the app loaded, you could log in with your account credentials and see previous orders.
However, the images and banners were either not loading or very slow on my end! And there was no way you could actually access the “app only” offers without seeing/clicking on the banners for 9/9.

I tried this with 4G, on WiFi and even iPhone tethering…

At least later in the day you could add mobile items into your cart and check out on the web since mobile paypal wasn’t loading either!

i hope they are better prepared next year

I think the BG team put in a lot of effort to pull this off, the prices were mostly attractive and the ideas they came up with were innovative. Yes, some stuff should have been more reasonable (lucky wheel) or logical (in the year 2015 the server performance should be more manageable) - but overall it was really fun going through all the items you may need in the garage or garden and just buy it at a fair price.

Generally speaking, it would be really interesting to know how many customers hit banggood yesterday, what the most popular items were and all the little other details they won’t tell us

I worked out late how best to win one of those snap offers but even then it was very hard. I had paypal logged ini prior to the snap time being reached. I won one item which was a bag for my wife. for many of the items on offer the links would not work for me as the “rush to buy buy” showed me as logged out. only some items were ok. I dont know why. In any case it was a very popular selling day for Banggood jusging by the many listed purchases people made where they would receive their money back. Did anyone get a free purchase?
