So I jumped up and down outside, and it stayed in place pretty well. It does have a slight bounce to the rubber holder in the front but the light does not pivot, so the beam stays where you put it. I think it would probably be ok.
I’m sorta slow with the affiliate stuff, but I just updated the post, and included a link. There’s one here too, if you’d like me to get credit for it.
Gah! I was going to get the Lumintop SD75, but there’s several other lower-cost lights I want to get. If I don’t get that one, I can get this one… Decisions, decisions….
Some folks wanted the lens size, but I forgot until today. I was able to get the bezel off by the force of my hand so it doesn’t appear glued. It’s 18.65mm in diameter and 1.5mm thick. Alright, swap away.
To be honest I have no idea. I have lights with a more diffused beam pattern so I’ll use those instead. Some people apply scotch tape to the lenses or something called “DC fix.” I searched around for a frosted lens for a while but couldn’t find one.
Just received one. The mod spacing is really poor. When I go through modes it feels like: moonlight>high>a bit higher>a bit higher>a bit higher. The low looks more like 100lm to me (nearly same brightness as my Olight s20 medium (120lm) and the change from 70lm to 200lm feels the same as 200lm to 400lm). Build quality is great, the UI is fine (shortcut to moonlight is good, but I don’t like that it has no memory for moonlight and that it goes from moonlight to last used mode instead of low). Still probably the best headlamp you can get for under $50, as all manufacturers in that range seem to have mode spacing problem.
