I have the same SKU coming, but i ordered before the holidays and they shipped last Wed. See if they arrive today.

I purchased at 10.39, but i wanted to use the $5 gift card that i had.

I have a pair of genuine TF Flames that gets me 22xx mAh @ 1A. I can put them through the discharger. If good then i think i will get another pair. (I have too many Xtar 2600s, 12 of them....and they recently changed to a purple silver label which looks way cool....nicer than AW!)

Jetbeam RRT-2 XP-G R5. Literally unbreakable light. usd87, but usd70 shipped after 20%. Ring control. Other lights are 120g but this tough one is at 160g! No reports of issues

Why you want to cancel it? I hope it's not my fault. Maybe i'm wrong and this are good Flames. I think seller couldn't even distinguish between "good" and "bad" cell... Someone report bad flames also on DX, so... For $6 you can't go so damn wrong..

Don't worry buddy, I'm happy that you pointed out there are 2 different versions of this item. Besides I started reading on DD's forum and decided for myself this wasn't a seller to deal with to begin with. I made a little scene on their forum even stating that these must be fake and they didn't even bother to defend their goods. They just said they canceled my order and will refund in two days. Also, I ordered two sets, so that's 2x $6 plus the $2 insurance I didn't ask for they added to my order.

I've been dealing with Chinese sellers for years and I don't need any more warning than a seller selling the same item twice at a different price point.

Could do a dischargetest with both batteries (charged them and then discharge each battery with one flashlight and the same mode - if the runtime would be similar, the cells are identical). This would be great, because the trustfire of DD are the best price at the moment.

No problem. The price of DD is great and the most DD products are really nice (the grouß buy things - my friends like the Ultarfire H2, I love the UF 2100) - I think I will buy 2-3 more pairs of the flame trustfire.

i received in last few days glames from DD and from DX.

Flames from D have silver sticker, flames from dx dont have silver sticker.

But I think dflames from dx come with consistent voltage (Practically all of them at 3,85-3,86) , but flames from DD often have lower voltage, somewhere like 3,80, and sometimes 2 batteries in the pack have different vltage - not always.

From the outside there are the same.

That should send up a red flag that these are fakes or old stock they should all be the same voltage.

Since some people will probably come here from random Google searches, I thought I'd add a couple of pointers:

• DD Rating thread
• Dinodirect $6.71 20% disc Trustfire Flames are good, measured 2266mAh (new batches are unprotected - awaiting support outcome)

So far I have received one set. I ordered protected batteries and received unprotected ones. I contacted DD using their live chat feature and after I explained the situation (in simple terms; keep in mind that their CS people don't deal with the specifics of lithium-ion batteries day in and day out and give them a break), they resolved it to my satisfaction within three minutes.

The protected ones are longer because of the circuit board on the negative bottom side. If you look closely at the picture, the protectives on have kind of a notch where the circuit board is

Correct. And if you look close enough you will see the metal strip running form the pcb negative end to the positive terminal inside the wrapping that is about 1/8" wide. I'm going to take a picture so guys can see that the unpotected cells look different like Tim said about the notch and that they are shorter vs the protected ones. Give me a sec.

I ordered C8 and it came today. I know that DD has slightly fishy reputation (summer is really trying to correct that) but despite that I was a little bit surprised that flashlight came without stainless steel bezel. If you carefully read item description they don't mention SS bezel but pictures suggest otherwise (http://www.dinodirect.com/flashlight-900lumens-5mode.html) And this is really to cheesy even for DD.

Otherwise flashlight is quite good. There are few cosmetic glitches and as usual lens rattles when pill is tightened all the way, reflector and led were clean and without significant imperfections. Current at tail cap is 2.5A/1.15A/0.11A.

Overall not a bad deal due to the lower price but it still leaves bad aftertaste ...
