UF-H3 headlamp protected battery?

Great Forum.... This is only the second forum of any type I've joined in the last 5 years or so... and learned lots in the three weeks I've been a member.

DD has just finished a group buy of the UF-H3 headlamp.

I'm wondering if any protected battery may be used? One post said the Xtar 18700 protected battery won't fit and another poster mentioned that none of his protected batteries would fit! I did a search and saw the chart which lists the length of the most common protected 18650 batteries; but that still doesn't tell me which ones (if any) will fit in the UF-H3 headlamp. I would like to use protected batteries.

Works with my trustfire flames.

My tf flames are 67.8 mm long anything under this will work. Note xtars are too long and also too thick.

But there is some variance in the length of protected batteries

Summer, please don't state things you don't know. Not all protected 18650s will work, as many have stated on this forum.
