That site will not accept my registration -- keeps rejecting me at the end with an ERROR MESSAGE pop-up about activating cookies. I tried multiple browsers (all that I have) and the same problems occurs. I am not blocking cookies.
I've tried multiple times, hassle factor is going way up to do business here. ANy solutions found by anyone?
www.dealextreme.com was a similiar TRUSTFIRE model for $39.

gorann, why would you assume that this light is capable of 3 cell operation, when the photos clearly show it is designed for 2?
The driver would have to be rated 12V+, to accomplish this safely.
Until that is determined, it's foolish speculation to think otherwise.
It states power supply 2X 18650 batteries.

It says "wide voltage." Whatever that means.

Hi Guys,
Just to let you all know, during the course of next week we'll be adding Pills, Drivers, switches, lens, and barrels in the "Flashlight Accessories " category for anyone wishing to do some DIY flashlight mods.
We already carry the XML-T6 LED module for anyone who is interested, its in "LED Modules -->> CREE "

Any thoughts on this vs Trustfire TR-3T6 in terms of quality/brightness? Or is it exactly the same?

Hi Gorann,
you talking about buying the pil with 3 x XMLT6 ? or buying the T6 on its own?
If the second, we have these chips $7.90 each, but then you need a driver to drive them ..

There are 68 more units remaining ... as some customers purchased more than 1 unit.
This is a good light at a good price ... Don't wait too long before you order

I'm sorely tempted, but I'm not going to order until someone I trust gets their hands on one and does a review/teardown.
It's a race now... if it runs out, I'm getting the TK35 clone. :P

I think nobody knows that, we will see when we get them...
But as I read here in the forum, Trustfire TR-3T6 is dependable (lasting) and it is not ver strongly driven, Skray is brighter but it gets overheated a lot. (Not my personal exxperience, only summary of what I read here. I bought myself TR-3T6 when it was on discount and this one here).
in my TR-3T6 from manafont thread they are driven from 2.5 to 2.7 amps the driver is buck pluss bost with constant current and the led,s are in series so each led should be on 3 amps or close to thats about the safe maxium for an xm-l.

@YouWantLED, will the 3 battery version also be able to run 2x18650? Is it just an extension tube that you can leave out like the original TR-3T6 to make it 2x18650?

YouWantLED: The original TR-3T6 can also be used with just one 18650. Is this possible with clone too?
