Banggood.com - any experiences?

I was banged good from them sent me a POS light instead of what I wanted and asked me to keep it because it was more expensive. So far not good for me!

I posted a few weeks ago regarding Banggood, and they did, in fact, come through for me. It took a while, I suspect because of conversing in ‘Chinglish’ but an understanding was reached and they shipped a replacement, so perhaps their intent is ok, but communication is a bit complicated. I feel it is only fair to pass this on as was pissed at the time, but they honored their word with ‘a thousand apologies’. Was’nt quick, however, and of course, the Xmas mail was no help.

I bought a dozen “ultrafire” flashlights from eBay (cenn2010) for gifts for electrical customers/homeowners. I purchased them on eBay (and US vendor) to limit shipping time and have recourse. The ones that they sent are counterfeit/fake. The packaging says “Banggood.com”. Banggood is on the Ultrafire list of vendors known to sell counterfeit/fake. Quality is poor. Ultrafire has confirmed that these pieces are counterfeit/fake. Poor threads, circuit board is not soldered to pill, misc other.

My assumption is that the vendor bought them from Banggood. Vendor has not responded to my email via fleabay. Now going to resolution and negative feedback. We’ll see if eBay polices their crooks.

I am patient when mistakes or shipping SNAFUs occur. But I expect the vendor to reply to emails and make things right. If a double shipment has to be made because of a lost shipment, and I receive twice what I ordered, I’ll make it right (return one or buy both).

I will not lie, cheat, or steal , or tolerate those who do. (West Point Honor Code) No, I’ve never attended a military academy, but I’ve adopted it as my code. I do expect others to follow it.

Neither Banggood or cenn2010 (on eBay) are reliable in my opinion.

Hello all,
The name does not reflect their divious nature. I will ran miles if I were you!!

Banggood is a big joke!

You are lucky if banggood listen to you, especially if you are NOT a wholesale customer.
I purchased a tablet as a gift for a friend in October, when it arrived it came with the wrong charger/adapter. As a result I was unable to give it out.
I contacted Banggood who said I cannot return the product because there was no issue with quality.
Upon examining the tablet I noted that there was air bubble inside the screen. I emailed photos to proof it but they will not accept that the tablet was faulty.
They then asked me to return the tablet on condition that I will foot half of the return cost. I declined the offer because it is a faulty product hence I see no reason for paying extra cost.
They finally agreed that I return it for full refund plus the return cost however when I sent the list of fees a number of companies will charge so they can advise me on which one to take, they started playing games. I also asked them to rather send a return label since that is likely to be cheaper but they did not reply that email.
I then heard that I could use PayPal to retrieve my money. PayPal informed me that they had asked Banggood to provide for postage because it was a faulty tablet. Banggood refused to do that but kept communicating with me that I should close the case before they will pay.
PayPal has also confirmed that Banggood will be able to issue a refund while the case is still open but Banggood is having none of that.
So you see, banggood has two sides to them. The public side which seemed to be soft, apologetic and understanding. The devious side which will frustrate and torment you until you give up.
The only time I received any email that appears to acknowledge the problem is when I gave a review on another site.
Dear readers, we are in December and this issue is still not been resolved.
When they are not happy with your review they send email to say provide details and we will investigate it further. That is what they want the public to see. I have challenge those several times to post all our conversation but they will not.
Banggood is terrible and before you buy from them please make your mind up that when things go wrong you will not get anywhere.
Please note that Banggood often give customers vouchers in return for good reviews. Also ensure you check the product specifications they have advertised against what they have sent to you. For instant the tablet I bought, Banggood specified that it can be upgraded to android 5.1 customers have complained that this was not the case. They claim the tablet has 16gb memory but it is only 8gb. These are just a few, only the good Lords know what else they have been lying about.
There are no clear terms or conditions. They will virtually dictate what they deem to be in their interest to you.
I wait to receive their usual emails tomorrow saying ‘I am sorry to hear about your experience. Please send the details and I will investigate further’
Well my position on this case is that they are not willing to refund my money when my only crime is ever buying a product which is faulty. For this reason I intend to publicise the ‘evil’ ways. Please don’t hesitate to contact me. I am collecting more information including emails communications you have received from them. This way other people can see them for what they really are.

Thanks for reading.

^This post smells funny…

First post is a long complaint about Banggood, resurrecting a three year old post. Smells like an account from another vendor to me…

I have had great luck with banggood, including some problem lights that were resent after sending a video…

I too don’t have anything negative to say about banggood. Everything have worked… well… bang on.

LOL

Well, we have seen this in the Gearbest threads too. People joining just to complain :~

  1. This is a flashlight forum, not a tablet forum
  2. It is clear that the only reason you joined this forum was to use this forum to complain.
  3. First post complaints about vendors are always suspect and unwanted
  4. It is obvious, at least to me, why you have not received any satisfaction from the vendor and probably will not

With that said.....

  1. If you have an interest in flashlights, or think you may, by all means please stay as we welcome all
  2. If your only intent is to troll and complain, please, go away

Ninja’d. I was just about to say that a single-post account with nothing but a wall of text crucifying the company is way too contrived not to arouse suspicion. Let alone the all-caps location name – no one with the education to write that post would asscap their own location like they want people to look at that in their card first and foremost. So yeah. :cowboy_hat_face:

I myself have no issues with Banggood either. Got two Olight RCR123’s that came well-cushioned on top of being in the original package, and two 18650’s that came on a plastic two-cell pack each. I also had a Nitecore EC20 on order, but they ran out of stock and told me that it would take a while for them to restock. Unlike certain other places, they immediately offered me a refund or a pick from an item of a similar price. I chose the refund, and it went through in less than a week.

A few customs gripes aside, I’m quite pleased with that outcome.

True: There are posts about all sorts of things but first and foremost it IS a flashlight forum.

That is just wrong and what many people think is possible. In other words give me what I want or I will defame, slander, embarrass you. Bad business and a sure way to get shown the door in the real business world.

ABOVE ALL.....This forum is not a hammer to be used as a weapon. Do we have clout and credibility here on BLF...absolutely!! Watch that go away as that behavior becomes more and more accepted. Should it have been you with something like that to say I would caution on the post BUT you having been here for some time are free to state something like that (providing no trolling is involved ;)) This person has earned no credibility and may never if this is the reason he/she posts. If you remember, we had one guy recently that was like that...of course past tense ;)

Your hesitation is reason enough not to buy one of those tablets but of course ultimately your choice. Your best solution is to ask around rather than look for disgruntled posts. With that said....first time posts like that are NOT welcomed by me (and many many others), nor given any credence. This person has no credibility and the actions are suspect so how could I or would I in good conscience put any faith in the same. Please think about it.....Based on the philosophy you have given we all still be buying 200lm Surefire lights for $400.

Regardless, no matter what.......anything that can affect our current or future credibility is unwelcome by me. That kind of poison needs to stay out of here.

Added....

Before someone climbs on a horse and starts with this or that...think about how far this forum has come and literally grown and what it truly accomplishes for all of us.

Quote: people joining just to complain.

makes me want to join a forum dedicated to complaining about idiots who join forums to complain.. :X

Well, let me put it this way:

  • This year I’ve ordered stuff 28 times from Banggood.
  • Some orders were for as little as $2.50
  • Twice , the item was out of stock. I promptly cancelled the order, and got a refund within 2 days
  • Mostly, my orders arrived at my doorstep within 12 days (not including Sundays)
  • Generally, batteries took longer to arrive (16-22 days). The batteries came via Sweden

So far I’m quite satisfied. Will continue to order from them.

Hey how come you get them shipped so fast? My stuff normally reach me around 20-25 days. Batteries can take a month to 1.5 months… Did u upgrade shipping?

Well, it seems that I am lucky: All batteries arrived in less than 15 calendar days (standard free shipping)!
Other stuff took up to 6 weeks, but by now, all orders arrived (34 so far).
Whenever products were out-of-stock I was contacted, once I ordered a wrong plug and got a free replacement, and once two USB LED lights were missing which were also replaced asap.
I have absolutely no reason to complain!

+1….

I have had bad experience with DD, FT, GB but none so far with BG. Reporting this crap post.

Always upgrade! My patience dealing with slow shipping ran out back in 2014. :P

Usually the cheapest upgrade ~$1-2 arrives within 2 weeks, versus 4-8 + weeks.

And if the item is ~$80+ DHL (Around 3 days to arrival) is usually free, or very cheap (~$5).

Also, this thread got a major necrobump. It was dead almost 3 years ago!

I’ve placed 20 orders with Banggood over the past three months:

15 orders have gone smoothly
3 orders are less than 2 weeks old and are still in transit.
12 items were delivered with no problems, delivery times ranged from 6 to 21 calendar days.

3 orders had some (small) hiccups
1 order was canceled after being notified that the item wasn’t currently in stock.
1 order was canceled after being notified that shipping to Hawaii incurred an additional shipping charge of $80.
1 order was backordered from 10/19/2015 and just shipped out earlier this week.

And two orders I had to make claims
1 order was delivered containing the wrong item, claim was settled in less than 72 hours after providing photos documenting the wrong item.
1 order (set of 7 tweezers) was delivered missing an item (1 tweezer), claim was settled on the same day that I made it.

Overall, I’m very pleased with Banggood’s service.

Just lucky, I guess. I only use ordinary or registered post.
And I keep track of all my online purchases (in case I have to lodge a dispute).
Just to give you an example of my latest purchase:

  • Ordered an Olight from BG on 27 November
  • Shipped out next day, 28 November
  • Arrived yesterday, 9 December at my doorstep
  • Everything seems to be in order (It’s a bloody good light, IMHO)

and so far I have had good luck and no issues and my first order from GearBest was a Ganzo724 and after 3 months no knife I filed a dispute with paypal and it showed up in two weeks ,it mainly a gamble with all Chinese vendors sone worse than others.
