Banggood.com - any experiences?

  1. This is a flashlight forum, not a tablet forum
  2. It is clear that the only reason you joined this forum was to use this forum to complain.
  3. First post complaints about vendors are always suspect and unwanted
  4. It is obvious, at least to me, why you have not received any satisfaction from the vendor and probably will not

With that said.....

  1. If you have an interest in flashlights, or think you may, by all means please stay as we welcome all
  2. If your only intent is to troll and complain, please, go away

Ninja’d. I was just about to say that a single-post account with nothing but a wall of text crucifying the company is way too contrived not to arouse suspicion. Let alone the all-caps location name – no one with the education to write that post would asscap their own location like they want people to look at that in their card first and foremost. So yeah. :cowboy_hat_face:

I myself have no issues with Banggood either. Got two Olight RCR123’s that came well-cushioned on top of being in the original package, and two 18650’s that came on a plastic two-cell pack each. I also had a Nitecore EC20 on order, but they ran out of stock and told me that it would take a while for them to restock. Unlike certain other places, they immediately offered me a refund or a pick from an item of a similar price. I chose the refund, and it went through in less than a week.

A few customs gripes aside, I’m quite pleased with that outcome.

True: There are posts about all sorts of things but first and foremost it IS a flashlight forum.

That is just wrong and what many people think is possible. In other words give me what I want or I will defame, slander, embarrass you. Bad business and a sure way to get shown the door in the real business world.

ABOVE ALL.....This forum is not a hammer to be used as a weapon. Do we have clout and credibility here on BLF...absolutely!! Watch that go away as that behavior becomes more and more accepted. Should it have been you with something like that to say I would caution on the post BUT you having been here for some time are free to state something like that (providing no trolling is involved ;)) This person has earned no credibility and may never if this is the reason he/she posts. If you remember, we had one guy recently that was like that...of course past tense ;)

Your hesitation is reason enough not to buy one of those tablets but of course ultimately your choice. Your best solution is to ask around rather than look for disgruntled posts. With that said....first time posts like that are NOT welcomed by me (and many many others), nor given any credence. This person has no credibility and the actions are suspect so how could I or would I in good conscience put any faith in the same. Please think about it.....Based on the philosophy you have given we all still be buying 200lm Surefire lights for $400.

Regardless, no matter what.......anything that can affect our current or future credibility is unwelcome by me. That kind of poison needs to stay out of here.

Added....

Before someone climbs on a horse and starts with this or that...think about how far this forum has come and literally grown and what it truly accomplishes for all of us.

Quote: people joining just to complain.

makes me want to join a forum dedicated to complaining about idiots who join forums to complain.. :X

Well, let me put it this way:

  • This year I’ve ordered stuff 28 times from Banggood.
  • Some orders were for as little as $2.50
  • Twice , the item was out of stock. I promptly cancelled the order, and got a refund within 2 days
  • Mostly, my orders arrived at my doorstep within 12 days (not including Sundays)
  • Generally, batteries took longer to arrive (16-22 days). The batteries came via Sweden

So far I’m quite satisfied. Will continue to order from them.

Hey how come you get them shipped so fast? My stuff normally reach me around 20-25 days. Batteries can take a month to 1.5 months… Did u upgrade shipping?

Well, it seems that I am lucky: All batteries arrived in less than 15 calendar days (standard free shipping)!
Other stuff took up to 6 weeks, but by now, all orders arrived (34 so far).
Whenever products were out-of-stock I was contacted, once I ordered a wrong plug and got a free replacement, and once two USB LED lights were missing which were also replaced asap.
I have absolutely no reason to complain!

+1….

I have had bad experience with DD, FT, GB but none so far with BG. Reporting this crap post.

Always upgrade! My patience dealing with slow shipping ran out back in 2014. :P

Usually the cheapest upgrade ~$1-2 arrives within 2 weeks, versus 4-8 + weeks.

And if the item is ~$80+ DHL (Around 3 days to arrival) is usually free, or very cheap (~$5).

Also, this thread got a major necrobump. It was dead almost 3 years ago!

I’ve placed 20 orders with Banggood over the past three months:

15 orders have gone smoothly
3 orders are less than 2 weeks old and are still in transit.
12 items were delivered with no problems, delivery times ranged from 6 to 21 calendar days.

3 orders had some (small) hiccups
1 order was canceled after being notified that the item wasn’t currently in stock.
1 order was canceled after being notified that shipping to Hawaii incurred an additional shipping charge of $80.
1 order was backordered from 10/19/2015 and just shipped out earlier this week.

And two orders I had to make claims
1 order was delivered containing the wrong item, claim was settled in less than 72 hours after providing photos documenting the wrong item.
1 order (set of 7 tweezers) was delivered missing an item (1 tweezer), claim was settled on the same day that I made it.

Overall, I’m very pleased with Banggood’s service.

Just lucky, I guess. I only use ordinary or registered post.
And I keep track of all my online purchases (in case I have to lodge a dispute).
Just to give you an example of my latest purchase:

  • Ordered an Olight from BG on 27 November
  • Shipped out next day, 28 November
  • Arrived yesterday, 9 December at my doorstep
  • Everything seems to be in order (It’s a bloody good light, IMHO)

and so far I have had good luck and no issues and my first order from GearBest was a Ganzo724 and after 3 months no knife I filed a dispute with paypal and it showed up in two weeks ,it mainly a gamble with all Chinese vendors sone worse than others.

I ordered my BLF A6 and an olight 18650 from there and received it in six days. The trick is to order stuff they have in stock in their US warehouse. Otherwise it’s guaranteed 3 weeks.

Hello,
My Name is Dirk U. from Austria (EU). I don’t speak English very well, sorry for that, but I think you will understand my situation. I joined a Banggood.com YouTube Giveaways, and Banggood faked a lot of participants to save much money!

It is the 25th of October, Banggood uploaded a video of their huge giveaway with 150 prices.
Link here: - YouTube

To join the giveaway you had to upload a photo to social media, so you should find each participant with the #Banggood11. But you will only find about 10 entries (including my entrie).
Here are the whole rules they posted in the Youtube description;

Then on 8th of September they announced the first 50 winners in this video:

One day later the next 50 winner in this video:

And next day the last 50 winners in this one:

On the first day the first winner’s video is from YouTube. The next winner posted his photo on Facebook and the second photo is from me. I won 20$ Bluetooth Headphones. Then on day 2 the three photos are from Facebook again. On day 3 they only showed one more video from YouTube and one photo from Instagram and no third winner like in the other two announcement video. It’s because they have to had no more entries. In Total they gave away a maximum of 7 prices!
So I contacted Banggood because I think it is really unfair they only give me 20$ Headphones and keep the cool and expensive stuff themselves. They told me all participants are legit. After I asked them to show me some of the other participants, which I think are faked by Banggood they didn’t answer me. I am very disappointed and sad. I will never buy from them again and you shouldn’t too.

Thank You!

Here is the whole e-mail conversation:

^ I will only speak for myself. You just made Banggood look good to me.

lol The things you have to put up with in customer service… amazing sometimes. I’m glad I have very little of that to do.

banggood was amazing so far. every shipment arrived. great packaging and not one product had any issues.

my first order from BG, so far it seems a bit slow compared to gearbest stuff from china or what do usay ? terminal go away it means it left country or ?

Machine translation isn’t able to translate properly, since the actual shipping codes are sort of shortcut coded too (in Chinese).

The “Leave the traffic” must actually mean “scheduled for dispatch”, ie. it is scheduled to take the next available “ride” (assuming the carrier has enough space for that parcel, depending on the parcels priority level; cheaper type parcels get lower priority to get a “seat” - in which case, it will have to wait for the next available ride)

The “go away” must mean “already departed”, so the parcel has actually gotten a “seat” and has left the station (no mention of whether the next destination is a transit destination or final destination country though).

“Guangzhou Terminal” is the parcel’s current location when the tracking info is being updated; not sure if this is the post office or a train/airplane terminal.

This is so funny...If they want to save money...why would they do a give away? wouldn't it be cheaper just not do the whole give away thing?

How many free advertising do you think they can get from this event compare to how much AD they already put on all the media...I don't think Banggood is trying to use this event for some free advertising on social media..

There is a thing called Chinese social media...which is not facebook, not yutube, not IG and not tweet since people in mainland China cannot even go on most social media...Have you tried to find those entries on Wechat or weibo?

Also..didn't you win something for free? how is that unfair?

Not winning enough ≠ losing....
