Looks little weird - cells in parallel and tail switch, I guess? A side e-switch would be better - would make a super sized SRK, but this has only one purpose: extreme throw, so maybe one mode would be the best for it .
Think it was mentioned the head diameter is 90 mm? Unless it can be converted to 2S or 2S-2P, an XP-G2 would be amp limited I suppose. I'd think potential of this reflector size could be 650+ kcd with an XM-L2/XP-L, to maybe 1 Mcd with a high amp XP-G2 setup, all de-domed of course.
There has been a change of plan. Initially, I wanted to appoint someone with expert skill to perform his magic on new BOSS1. My worry is that there seem to be quite a few of the newly joined members who expressed interest in this GB based on initial specs. Instead, I will provide my first insight of this light as an average buyer / beginner level modder. As I am fairly sure, that this like will be heavily mod when it hits the market soon.

No, we did not contact them. Unlikely most budget brands, Palight is one of the few company who is willing to upgrade their flagship models over the years. They also did hint that they may consider to produce more options (e.g multi-emitters) based on BOSS1 platform.
BLF SE proj would be exciting but ambitious for this size.
No problem. Please be mindful of who you share it with and do not publicize the contents on public newtworks. There is no limit to the number unit being purchase, as long as GB is still valid.
