I am glad to see these back. The beam and tint are excellent! Several BLF members have measured output, with results around 48-50 lumens. My informal, purely anecdotal, and unscientific observation is that regulation is flat, until the battery is nearly depleted. I would love to see a runtime chart for the BLF-348. I am using Eneloop. I have no interest in 10440 for this light. It runs too hot on those.
My only complaint is that the clip on some samples interferes with the tube when screwing or unscrewing the tail cap. I have been sliding a small piece of cotton under the clip so that it does not scratch the light as I take it apart.
I think you should be able to reach the 800 number. After the holidays, my stock of BLF-348 flashlights will be diminished. I may order some more then.
I fully realize this is not what this thread is about, but I really want a 2 mode driver. I want the same light with reverse clicky and an added moonlight mode. I’d even be fine with a reasonable price bump to get it.
