lol what a ridiculous amount of light..first time ever i've said a light was too bright..people were looking at me like I had 4 heads..I busted out the itp sa1 and it was perfect for lighting the kids' way..was pretty funny..anyone else "overkill" their kids last night??
I had the X9 and my boy was packing an xml P60 skyray and a C8. The strobes were great for alerting cars when kids were crossing the streets. Part of our trick or treat route is through a patch of woods and I found myself wishing I had the skyray triple just for fun. Did get some looks though and it wasnt because of the stupid hat I was wearing.
I too took my 980l, and it was great on L and M. High was not used.
I took the X9 just to see what it was like for walking. I figured it would just annoy me, and it did. I don't like playing "watch the little bouncing hotspot". I don't know how some of you guys do it. luckily my SC51w was in my pocket so that finished the trip.
UniqueFire UF-2100 as headlamp and Sky Ray STL-V2 for throw (momentary on) works okay.
