Hi from Denmark

Im just another long time closet flashaholic who is finally coming out to bloom. And if you ask my wife I should just get back in the damn closet. But to each their own :-)

I'm really in to variable flood or flood to throw light, I personally prefer Zoomies - just has a certain ring to me :-)

But anyhow I´m really just a newbie here that spend too much time playing around on varius internet forums when its light outside, and too much time outside playing with flashlights, reflectors and stuff when its dark.

Like the tone of the forum so I thought Id throw a little introduction.

I´m a marine engineer and master mariner though I only use my engineering degree nowadays. I´ve sailed most places in the world and only lack to visit the Antarctis and arctis.

I still sail for a living and like it too since i get to stay equally long at home for vacation as i stay onboard for - currently thats 10 weeks out, 10 weeks home.

Anyhow, thats it. :-)

Hi there Ledsmoke, thanks for the introduction!

Wow, you sail for a living? Sounds fascinating. You must see some incredibly beautiful and also some incredibly tragic things in your travels.

Welcome from a new enter too

great we need your know-how to conquer the world

your life is an adventure...on the other hand it keep you away from family and friends

btw you can stay with us 10 weeks yes and weeks 10 yes

Welcome to BLF!

Enjoy your time here. I'm sure your flashlight saw beautiful places...

Aloha and welcome to BLF Ledsmoke!

Thank you everybody, that was a nice welcome.

And to sb56637 - yes I do see some of both. I remember sailing up rivers where you cannot see the water because of plastic bags, plastic bottles and plastic whatnots in 3.rd world countries that we have goods produced in.

Or the dead lining the road after a drug gang shootout in southern america.

But I also know how beautiful a tornado looks at sea, when it is still small. And how it changes color when it hits the water the first time and almost gently sucks up i little water to the airstream. Or the humbling of man in the face of his own demise when all crew are assembled on the bridge, lifewest on and ready to embark the lifeboats. We persevered and were better for it.

There are many experiences that you never knew you could have in a life like this, but also many kinds of prices to pay. Still iÏ like it though.

And regarding the staying with you 10 weeks & 10 more weeks ? Well if the darn internet would just work onboard. But not always. So I might be gone for long stretches of time. But I´ll be back.

Velkommen og Skal, skandinaver er nødt til at holde sammen!

apa kabar.. welcome to BLF
