Brinyte B158 mod thread

Mhanlen,

You did not even read my answer... So read up again:

It is not custom machining. I am not asking them to rework me old stock of B158 flashlights. I am asking them for small cosmetic change in new series they would made for me.

Edit: I cant find them as serious company cause they are not answering on my emails. I have sent more than just one mail.

Well agree to disagree. I don’t want to get into an argument. I did read your response and understand it. I gave you the address, so see what they say before declaring they are a bad company. I know my work email often sends items to the spam folder… And considering it is NOT the email I’ve dealt with I can’t say what the situation is.

I am not attacking you man. You are not Brinyte.

But again... Is it a problem for flashlight manufacturer to made small cosmetic change on new specific costumer order? They don't need to rework anything. They just need to made new batch. You saw what I mean... That is far easier to do than existing B158 model with additional unnecessary mount.

So if you or other guys disagree with that? OK :) I accept... I think this is just right way of doing business.

So if they can't do that or if they demand extra large MOQ they do not have their own machines. Someone else is doing that for them.

Ok fine. Email them first. I have had many many emails not returned from manufacturers. I’m done talking about it, this is between you and Brinyte not you and I.

Of course :) Will try with other mail and I'll see ;). Thanks again.

I highly doubt Brinyte owns their own 4-axis cnc machines. They design the flashlight and sub it out to a machine shop. The machine shop sends it to the annodizer. After that the assembler than to a warehouse. Brinyte recieves them complete, most likely. May not ever touch them, who knows. There is no way they can do what you are asking. You will have to sub the work to a real machine shop local to you.

This is what Brinyte’s website states:

Forgive me for making assumptions
They didn’t seem to be that large of a manufacturer. I was wrong :_(

Have you considered that they just may not be interested in small batch custom work based on their unique design and resold for a higher profit by someone else? I bet the response is different if you contact them and just say you want to buy 50 of what they actually offer, rather than expecting them to jump to sell 50 done “your way.”

See how Nitecore, Fenix, or Maglite respond to the same request. Not all companies are set up, or interested, in changing how they produce the lights.

They’ve been uninterested in offering hosts or cheap bare pills. To me this says they just aren’t planning on making hosts or OEM orders for other people part of their business model.

I feel like maybe the email wasn’t getting to them. I gave him a known good email address, so I say wait before we pass judgement. I know there are often holidays too, that we’re not aware of. So if he still doesn’t get in contact with them after that, maybe then everyone can start getting mad. I have seen the wholesale prices for these lights, and the quantities needed for the price points, so I’m not optimistic that a modification of an existing design will yield a cheaper price than what we got with this group buy. But there’s no harm in asking, right?

To KKW,

"After 3 years developed, Yeguang Technology changed to use “Brinyte” brand, focus on hunting and diving powerful led flashlight, especially OEM and ODM customs service."

You see they are specialized in this. Same like Uniquefire. They will machine and do whatever you need. MOQ could be problem. 50 pcs is small order but smart thinking would be to accept this order cause just 1 worker can make this in less than one day on 1 CNC machine, and if they accept we have a base for future cooperation. I can for example order twice per year next 2-5 years.

With some companies I am dealing with there absolutely no issues with this service. It is in their best interest to earn some $.

Ahh - don't forget me? Post #68? Pretty please? Innocent

5A LGHG2, 4.6 NCR PF, Djozz fet driver, XPG2 S4 2B, everything bypassed.

Ok - pretty good...

Good info. I’m betting it’s either a high MOQ and 50 doesn’t cut it, or they don’t cannibalize their own designs if you don’t hear something by the end of next week.

Look KKW :

Familiar ? :)

On the off chance they might see this thread you could consider deleting “this company sucks” if you actually want to do business with them.

I will if they will respond. But after trying to contact them with same questions with 2 different emails several times during week or two with no response they really deserve that epithet.

Their B158 is really good. I did not said that their flashlight is bad :)

Edit: They responded on 04.01.2016.

That light is more different than the B158 than it is the same, the only component that could be considered possibly the same as the B158 is the battery tube. The lens, head, tailcap, and pill are all very different, even if functionality is similar. Are you just guessing they’re made by Brinyte, or do you know for sure that they are?

I do like the idea of the 70mm lens, but the price is outrageous if compared directly to the B158.

KKW,

You did not get the point of this. Point was that same light can be done on different way.

This is ebay link is very popular light redone. But even you did not recognized it. :)

And you have it at home :)
