Using the public code, I ordered one of the gray ones. I am not on the group buy list, but I thought I would let you know, just in case you are counting.

The CCT & CRI charts produced by maukka are amazing. They are exactly the sort of hard data I love.

Thanks!

I bought one purple for the wife.

I hope it comes before Valentine’s Day. 0:)

Guess I’d better do the same…
Then I’d be able to try it out, and hopefully decide whether I want a copper one before the offer closes. Wink

However I did manage to see that the quality is good, I like that it starts in low mode and the tint is really nice for close up, anodizing appears to be good and hard, can’t test that though as I do not want to find out just what that fate is worse than death is

Really all that needs to be said is the darling wife fell in love with it and put it on her keyring without delay Party

Cheers David

Edit: It was a purple one.

Well that is better than a full review when the significant other who is not into flashlights claims your latest…

Tail Stand pleeeeeese.

I would like tailstand as well, but it seems to be a tradeoff, much more complex to redesign the tail than to just change the attachment point to a more keyring friendly design. I am going to see if a larger flat spot can be integrated to give some ability, but we will see…

I just picked up a silver one. Decided to use my points to get $1.5 off. Can never use those up anyways.

I’ve been wanting an all copper light. I wanted the x5, but that was a combo deal only. This would be a good compromise. So…

I would take one copper:)

The stock ones that are at Banggood now, have the normal hole like in the pictures. When this group buy goes on, we are hoping to get a larger hole and redesigned attachment point. Cost should be the same for the aluminum, copper will be $20 or under.

Looks like I have to order a couple to a few of these after CNY. Mine has tried to walk away three times already...and it has been all girls because it is "so adorable"

Not sure if anyone else ran into this problem.

I received my A01 yesterday, popped an Eneloop into it and … nothing.

Tried another (freshly charged) Eneloop … nothing.

Peered into the tube to check the contacts, everything looked clean.

Then I remembered what had happened with my blue Convoy S2 short tube. There was an infinitisimally small amount of anodization that had crept over the edge, blocking contact.

So, I tried sanding the edge of the body tube down. 10 seconds worth of effort. Voilà! It worked!

Thought I’d pass this info along. 0:)

The copper version is a perfect candidate now that we know that we can use a 10440.Not sure if there is DTP underneath the emitter but this light has much modding potential in a copper version.

Stainless would be a nice addition to keep in stock form if they can handle all the different requests with colors etc.

Either way...if the SF-348 can do 2000 units this can do at least 1000 if not as much as the SF-348. It is most definitely worth the dough.

On the end of the tube.
