I got some neutral XML emitters T5 4B tint if anyone is interested. They are a very nice tint and are very bright also.

i should have got this also with my other one dang it. lol

I haven't got any drivers for them yet, you got my last 2.8 amp driver. The one I made is only driven at 1.4 amps. I just wanted to see the tint and it is very nice.

When do you expect to get more drivers? And good luck on the programming. The 5 mode would be perfect for my new p60 caving headlamp!

Kevin

I expect drivers any day now of course I have been saying that for a month. I have plenty of XPG drivers so I can make anything up to 2 amps. I am sure all 20 drivers I ordered will show up on the same day. I will post here when they come in since so many people are waiting.

E1320, let me know if you need help with the programming. I have a step-by-step procedure on how to program the chips that works really well for me (erasing the chip first, setting the fuses correctly, etc.). I had some issues at first with some chips running at a different frequency, so the timing would be off between chips. However, now since I set the fuses the same for each chip, and set the frequency of the chip in the code, I haven't had a single issue with that and the timing is spot-on (1 second is 1 second).

Shoot me a PM with your email and I will forward what I have on to you. What programmer are you using, and what programs to do the flashing? I'm using the ladyada USBtinyISP w/ AVRdude (http://www.ladyada.net/make/usbtinyisp/).

That's awesome thanks PM sent

Many Thanks to JonnyC for walking me through this I now have the ability to program drivers.

If anyone has a special request let me know.

My first project is a 4 mode moon low .2 amp, medium .7 amp, high 2 amp and turbo 3.1 amp no memory starts on moon low.

If you can do something similar but 3.5A and memory (or start on high/med) I'm interested :)

Awesome! I'm glad to see you got over that hurdle.

So you want high, medium, low, moon low with memory and 3.5 amp.

I'd say M>L>LL>H at 3.5A and without memory. I was just trying to be flexible in case one variation might be more of a pain than the other. I wouldn't need memory if it starts on high or medium.

Does anybody ever request a sequence like M>H>L>LL or is that too goofy? I think I like that one as well. That way you can still start on a reasonable mode but have your "turbo" one click away.

I'll still probably send you the U2 drop-in and you could use that plus your driver to complete the assembly. You can keep the old driver since I won't have a use for it. It would be most appropriate for someone using multiple 18650's since it's 3-18V.

With an 800 plus lumen XML most people want to start low if it doesn't have memory so they don't blind themselves in the dark, but you can have it anyway you want.

I guess it depends on what each mode is driven at. I'll just PM you later. You're still waiting on drivers, right?

Yeah I am still waiting for drivers. PM me.

I have finally got some drivers if anyone was waiting for a drop in. I also got the custom programming to work and I have a couple custom mode configurations I can offer.

This is a really cool offer. Thanks again to E1320 for the BLF exclusive! ;)

Yes these are BLF exclusives and I have some moon lows that work so you can go from 1 lumen all the way up to 800 lumens.

XPG at 1-2 lumens

XML at 1-2 lumens

I also have some 4B tint XMLs and 3D tint XPGs. I still have some work to do to make customer specified modes but I do have a couple programs that work right now.

Nice work!

Kevin

Thanks

Very cool to have the extra mode! I definitely want one, I just can't decide exactly what I want for sure. Probably a 2 amp 4B XML. :)

I would love a driver with a UI similar to a Quark tactical. Something where you have to click rapidly like 10 times to access the mode menu and then have 5 to 8 to choose from (actual levels - blinkies could be extra) and then they get locked in. I like being able to lend a light to someone and as far as they'll ever know it's a single mode.

You guys are starting to make some real progress in the programing. It going to be fun to watch further development. :)
