BLF After Dark, CSS theme [not relevant anymore]

Love it TK! Thank you! Now I wont blind myself while checking first thing in AM!

Hey ToyKeeper! Is there any way to make this work in IE? I know code writers donā€™t like IE but I just canā€™t get myself to like Chrome no matter how hard I try. If not Iā€™ll try to figure something else out. Or maybe Iā€™ll use Chrome just for BLF if I have to but it will be with great reluctance.

It doesnā€™t look promising:

The interested list in this post does not look good. Can you fix it?

Got it TK, now I can see the text better.

This After-Dark theme is cool. but how does a bottle of Bort as mix go with a good dark rum?

My old eyes thank you greatly. Bravo!

Love it! Thanks!

This is pretty wild stuff, cool.

Oh, wow. Now that is hideous.

It looks like M4D M4X explicitly set a background color on each link in that listā€¦ or set it once and copy/pasted it a bunch of times. The first half of the list has styled links, while the second half has styled spans. And a few items are bare.

I can override it, but itā€™s kind of a violation of scope. It would prevent anyone from ever setting a background color in the text of their posts. At least, in links or spans.

So, what do you think? Should it override style mis-uses (and also override normal uses too), or should it allow both (and give us an occasional hard-to-read post like that one)?

my first thought was this .....

Thatā€™s awesome. Nothing works on ios right?

Thank you for easing the painā€¦

Thanks TK! Got it working on my tablet in firefox. Nice for in the evenings, and when I want the classic style I start blf in chrome
It is now even more obvious that the battery is inserted backwards in saypats avatar

That sounds like an apt description of iOS.

The after dark style seems to have removed the ā€˜back to topā€™ and ā€˜homeā€™ buttons at the end of each pageā€¦ (firefox, android)

GREAT !!

thanks

Yes, I removed the ā€˜topā€™ links. Or maybe the file I started with did that, I forget. I havenā€™t missed them though.

If you search the css file for ā€œjump to topā€, thereā€™s an obvious ā€œdisplay: noneā€ line to edit to get the links back.

On Android, after reading through a thread, I usually just pull up my bookmarks and go directly back to the my-subscriptions page to find the next topic. Iā€™m not sure if this works for you or if getting the ā€˜topā€™ links back is better.

in advanced post editor the letters are black on dark

I donā€™t mind the lack of the top button, but when at the end of a thread, I normally use the home button to get back to the recent posts page, now I have scroll to top to hit the recent posts button. Or do I do something obviously wrong?
