Walmart Toy

I was at my local wally world and this followed me home. They had them marked down to $24.88. The guy told me to try it for 30 days, and if I'm not satisfied to bring it back for a full refund. Man I wish all the other lights I had came with that same guarantee. It's rated at 2 million candlepower. I'll play with it later tonite. Does anyone know how long it will hold a charge?

...and so, later tonight, ILF will be found running around the woods shouting, "Phasers on Stun, Mr Spock"......

LOL!!

Yeppers! Well this one is a lot more practical of a spotlight than the last one I bought. But I did take some great photos last nite with that big spotlight I just bought recently before this one. I sure love looking at this one.

That big spotlight will smoke anything else I have. But then again it should.

And here's the end of that rainbow beam 110yds away. LOL!

Almost positive there's an SLA in there. If you google for info on them you'll find specifics, but I can say they should be charged fairly regularly (monthly is great, but 3 months is probably ok) and that you'll get a lot more cycles out of it if you only discharge to 80%, and NEVER below 50%.

I just killed the sla in my monster incan spotlight by leaving the usb switch on for a few weeks (it has usb out so you can charge other things of its sla) ...only had 2 cycles on it :(

I think I might use it as an excuse to upgrade to nimh or li-ion:)

Which it will never achieve.

"Candlepower (abbreviated as cp) is a now-obsolete unit which was used to express levels of light intensity in terms of the light emitted by a candle of specific size and constituents. In modern usage Candlepower equates directly to the unit known as the candela."

So it should throw easily 1.4 kilometers (~1550 yards)

Well it's not a bad light, but I think it's going back for a refund. Not as bright as I had hoped.
