Grooves from top can be milled for noctigon xp32 cause it doesn’t have central hole in stock.
For quad pcb grooves can be milled from bottom - central hole+grooves for them who wants to use stock wire holes in host.
Central hole DOES NOT keeps wires from twisting.
Yes, but you should use better wires
The same as mine idea
FALSE! Drivers have led wire pads on sides so when you use central hole you need extra underdriver height for wires.
Feeling myself deafblindness.
When I am asking BLF - what are you interested in, what shall we do next - nobody is replying.
But if I offer something - you can buy it immediatly.
Cause I can`t see lots of interest in X6 spacer, I haven`t bought 3m of proper aluminium (180 W·m−1·K−1 thermal conductivity), but have founded a little piece, so 15pcs 10.6mm and 5pcs 8.6mm will be available in mid of April.
What is about X5 quad copper spacer+ss liner? I can produce lots of them but I can`t imagine how much of them BLF can consume.
I received my two 2x “Copper spacer for Carclo triple Convoy S2+/S3/EagleEye X2” yesterday, best price including shipping I’ve ever seen. Now instead of making a couple of low amp triples I’ll be able to make something a bit more exciting. Thanks, kiriba-ru.
I think the problem with the X5 spacer demand is that most people don’t have a quad MCPCB but Cutter is soon to release one and will be available via MTNelectronics.
I have the copper X5 and several dsche quad mcpcb but no spacer to perform the mod. The ideal spacer would screw down just like the stock reflector does to allow the best possible heat path to the side walls and fins, just like what Dale made himself but I guess you would need a sample to perform test-fit.
I think everyone agrees that threads that we can produce are not so good to pay extra money for them.
My idea in making quad-upgrate kit from copper spacer and SS tube is the simpliest and cheapest way as I think.
All measurements and drawings are ready, material for 50+ sets are in stock but I don’t imagine how much should go to machinary. This is not are popular simple part like s2+ spacer that can be sold on ebay and can be used in lots of customizations.
Bad news:
S2+ threaded pills from my last production were not good, so I had decided do not make more of them.
I was waiting until nitro or Hoop will make lots of them for good price, so I could resent their products to EU buyers with lowest margin.
But I still don`t have such offers.
Good news:
Seems that I have founded out another way of threads making for Convoy S lights. Now they can be much better. This one is made from broken part so it looks inaccurate at top.
How much people out of US are interested in them for $12-13?
Don’t take much effort on thread length, this photo is made to show thread quality.
Any length can be made, but I think S2+ triple is the only popular version.
