Review//Lixada 3800 Lumen Triple

Maybe with a spacer between the battery and springs?
Or putting 2xCr123 or…I don’t know… 2x18500 are too short.

The Lixada arrived with the tube extension (to work with 3x18650) or only with the 2x18650 tube?

Only the 2 cell tube configuration arrived.

Very nice to see this C8 on steroids
But I must say, I really like the fact that there are flooders with cells not in series.

would it work with one cell?

The proportions are strange, thickness of tube is odd. Not crazy about the large spring ground connection a la p60 either. I wonder if the short tube is for 2 X 18500.

I like the amount of fins, I wonder if they can be utilized? Did you take it apart to see what the thermal path is like?

The short tube only extends, as it will not screw on to the head.

The still shots of the teardown are in the video. The pill and reflector are all one piece and it screws into the head with threads under the fins.

I found it intriguing enough to order one.
When I am done with it, it will be not so much the flooder and will work with one cell.

Thanks for the head’s up, looking forward to the challenge.

Cant wait to see what you come up with on this one.

that’s right!

A big head (like C8 or Warsun Mx900 - always C8 style)
Triple led (ok floody/wall of light)
1x18650 (thinner body)
dual switch (tail cap on/off- side switch for changing mode)
Blf A6 driver
1-2 short tubes for extend the body
Budget (25-29$ shipped)

Let’s start a BLF GB

Man let’s hp[ejaxman is willing to work with us and provs to e a manufacterer!

This is a SolarStorm SP-03 triple XM-L2, triple yes but floody?

I’m expecting something like this from the Lixada triple as well. We’ll see.

That one is doing some good output.

Just want to put this out there for everybody. I did a bunch of research on this 3800. Lumen 3T6 a while back and have since modified 5 of them. Most recently the Trustfire XMK which is the exact same flashlight (pill/reflector) with new styling that seems to be better quality than the original but pill/reflector is the same. Fasttech sells the nicest Trustfire 3t6 I've found with an stainless bezel. Here: https://m.fasttech.com/products/0/10000663/1059701-trustfire-tr-3t6-cree-xm-l-t6-3800lm-5-mode

The XMK for $22.77 at gearbest. This is the best one for the money:https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/35289

The $19.00 or so for the lixada seems like a great deal since it comes with the xml2s but it would be nice if it came with the extensions for 3s cells. Fasttech may have one.

I put dedomed XML-2 U4 1C's with an MTN26DD zener modded for 3s cells in all the ones I've modified. I omitted the p60 style ground spring by soldering on copper standoffs to the driver ground ring to make zero resistance contact with the tube. Bypassed springs, bypassed switch board and spring w/18awg drilled thru brass button. Copper spring contacts. Throw in some hot Samsung 25R's or E-fests and these things scream. You have to hold on tight when you first turn it on. They got a little kick to em

I wanted to order one of them with 3 extensions BUT since they only come with 2 extensions I will pass ,thanks for the information

Thanks for doing the review. Looks like a decent critter finder for the money.

Glad to do it, YW

Have you tried to ask the seller?
Maybe is possible with a little extra.

Manx, no I just went with information from RotoHead64 , and they will tell you please yes 3 extensions and then send you 2 so unless I hear different I will pass.

Pretty sure this’ll work. Don’t know if the driver in the lixada is compatible with 3s cells though. I go for the Trustfire from fasttech. The last one I bought had XML-2’s. The stainless bezel model is nice.
