How many lights do you have in the mail right now?

8 lights otw.

Zero
I agonize greatly before buying a light (and research like mad). I would like to buy that Starry light with infinite modes when i have the money though.

I also have zero lights in the mail, but I do have two nice knives that disappeared somewhere into the California Triangle.

None, but I’m waiting for 30Qs to arrive and a group buy to be finalized.

1*S2+ 3*7135 T4 7A from Simon that will be disassembled right after testing it
2*10440 from FastTech

Manker U11, Klarus G30, Thorfire S70.

Hope springs eternal

3 lights at the moment. Manker U11, Klarus G30, and BLF A6.

I just figured out that since joining this forum
I have spent around £400_on new lights and equipment so I think I’m going to lay off on buying new lights for the time being and learn to mod my own.

This forum really does cause temptation for your wallet.

Has anyone pondered the budget point? Is it that we feel we’ve saved money on a budget light so it’s ok to buy another? If we buy expensive lights, is one enough? Are we, like our women, so sorely tempted by a “deal”? Just why is it that we keep ordering more lights? We only have 2 hands, right?

Think I’m gonna have to do another give-away so I’ll feel better about it all…

My justification is I look at my other more expensive hobbies and figure flashlights are pretty harmless. I can have a shelf full of flash lights or a garage full of bicycles. Other hobbies I could get into are way more time consuming, expensive, or have other drawbacks: golfing, cars, guns. It makes an extra $30 for one with a slightly different emitter seem reasonable.

I haven’t spent a nickel on lights in years. It’s just time to upgrade to modern LEDs.

Take this old P4. It was my first ever MagMod. Sure it still works but an XM-L2 could make it so much better.! It doesn’t even have a driver board. Just a single resistor.

On top of the modding parts and supplies there are a handful of hosts and complete lights cruising my way on the slow boat. For my money, I expect hard working tools… That’s all.

Secretly, I’m hoping for a few ooohs and aaaahs around the campfire.

had to use up GB points?

recommendation on here for the boruit rj02 headlight… and i tossed in the 878 with charger and throwaway 2 batteries to use up the rest and round out the order, lol…

two incoming…

this is only the second time i ever ordered from china and all are from GB.

if this order goes thru without a hitch? GB will be my main china thing… MTN in the USA is TOO DANG COOL not to use it for emitters and drivers, but… china is the huge selection.

needing to use up expiring points and the “flash sale” was too good to pass up on something i wanted anyways… (the head light)

My excuse is ……YOU have so many …Why can’t I ??

I’m just trying to “Keep up with the Jones”

Just one; a cheap FastTech camo SK68; ordered as a gift for my five-year old nephew as he likes flashlights, and this is a cool option for him with good runtime from a AA alkaline:
https://www.fasttech.com/p/4168702

Yeah, it will have an annoying next-mode-memory driver I’ll pencil-mod out, and a generic LB emitter, but he’ll still like it…

Though I was done bit ordered these two S5 look-a-likes on AE today, for under $5 for the two, one being silver.
Should be interesting hosts.

As a starter I justify
1 a bunch for getting a nice all round collection. (I mean Convoy C8, Convoy S2+, stock Jacobs A60,/Colrui, Sipik 98/68 clone, Uniquefire 1504, Uniquefire T20, Uniquefire 1401, SRK stock, Cometa, cutting edge X5/X6)

2 free for reviews, Thorfire S50 S70, a Darktort on the way and hoping to get Convoy BD0x.

3/special needs
43cm long baton shaped light for near all the doors and 1 with red difuser build in for the car. Magnetic tailed lights with 1 throwy led at the end and a strip for flood on the side stuck to the fridges of our kitchens.
A light rated for diving since our pool is 2,20 m deep and the others rate 2 meters at best
UV lights
The X65 Warson to aid in lighting because of its nice tripod nut.

4 educational, SRKs for learning to mod, C8 screw in pill, some budget thingies. The above mentioned cheapies.

5/ budget lights on my quest to find real good real budget lights, some nice things have been found.

6 strange lights (the gifted dual emitter light, the recoil thrower, the sharp eagle in transit, the dual head dual switch we call “Wall-E light” the dual battery tubed Small sun T07s, just too strange not to buy

7 we plan my son and me, to make videos about all of them and mod a lot when we get better at modding so this last part is like having a golden ticket to flashlight heaven you see

And well I see troubles with poor quality cells easy bought and used , only look at those hoverboards
So I put am effort in getting the Li Ion safety 101/text translated into many languages and my wife supports those kind of actions fully so I am having a good time and she is not disliking it at all.

Do remember a few months back we had nothing good and now two shelves full of lights and a whole bunch of tools and modding stuff.

I have an Olight M10 on the way. I don’t need it, but I figured since the deal price was only $15.99, I can always sell it if I don’t like it.

Welcome aboard Miller, very intelligent way to go about getting yourself committed. Glad to have ya.

Thanks and glad to be here!

In Amsterdam we lived close to a friend who is electrical engineer and a whizz in out of the box solutions.
All the servers I sold were lots of fun, taking them to him and modifying the heck out of them. Problems with anything he could fix, like replacing chips on mobile phones. No need to solder, just take it to Thom, have a blast, have some nice beers and return happy with fixed stuff. (No worries, he got all my old and young beers (10 crates) when we moved, has had a nice holiday here and always welcome so no leaching ;))
Now it is up to me and with the plan to restore the ancient mill and make it produce electricity solder skills are needed.
Also for the kid, it is very nice to play with lights with him.
Yes I owe a lot to BLF!

And on topic
On its way now besides the ones mentioned earlier:
A Convoy BD01 from FastTech, generously provided for review.
An Astrolux (the Kronos X5) generously provided by Banggood for review (yay a black one, no not to worry Dale, I will NOT bake the HA3 ;))
A S5 lookalike cheap light $2,22 in silver.

I think all I have coming are some Nitecore Tubes from the GB flash sale, but I might be forgetting something.

I have two lights incoming.
One BLF A6, unanodized, NW.
And one Olight SR52UT.
