The Aliexpress store is now just a front. He no longer is selling any merchandise there. Instead, he seems to have opened this new store, Hengsheng, and he offers Aliexpress as one of the options for payment.
I suppose this is to provide some measure of buyer assurance to the customer.
I figure on saving over 50% when compared to the next lowest vendor, even after including shipping.
Now the long wait …
Note: The risk in this deal isn’t non-delivery. Such loss would be covered by Paypal or my AmEx credit card. The risk is that the product delivered is of woefully poor quality. I’m not sure how Paypal or AmEx would treat that situation, because the seller’s terms expressly states that they will reimburse a maximum of 20% of the purchase price in such an instance.
I’m wondering if - on the clone knife “market” - for a specificated clone knife, there can be several manufacturers or one manufacturer/factory that will make all the copies of a specificated knife ?
Took a gamble too. Ordered 3 all on the biggish side. Doubt they have the advertized steels, but I don't think the site is false advertising. Actually, the site seems refreshingly honest about the steels. I just think they have limited info on these. Would be very cool if they were actually as advertised.:
racoon, those Kershaws are made in China and there is no reason to believe they are not out of the same factory. I think if they were fake they would be a lot cheaper than that.
I bought a CRKT M21 on AE and I am absolutely positive that it is the same knife i would have bought from any “reputable” dealer for 18$ more.
