Cheap Chinese Watch Review #1: Naviforce NF9040M

I am also impressed with mine, and received some compliments as well. I liked it enough to order a different model. I’m looking forward to see how that one shapes up.

Yes! Thank you! Please post more reviews sooner than later. I have always wanted to throw in some of those cheap watches when placing orders, but never had the courage to. Now I’ll be throwing 2 or 3 in the cart with every order!

On your other thread about group buy for watch any idea which watch will be?
I prefer with complete calendar and easy to read dial

Thanks krono. It seems to be a winner build wise and budget. I do prefer the look of the other watch you have in your other thread with the copper appearance. Its the same brand from memory?

You wear this watch?

I have two now, 1 very expensive wth blue dial. Gift from my wife 17 years ago from a juweler with his own branding on it. Since the move two years ago I placed it in a cupboard somewhere, and nvr worn it again. The blue is the me as the lapis lazuli of my signet ring. And well that ring I also do not wear.
If I need to dress up o the max I will dive into the cupboard.

Now I use a skeleton mechanical wrist watch, about 43mm wide, all metal with gold plated dial.
I bought it at DX when they were called DealExtreme.com for $8 about 6-7 ears ago and worn it the first two years daily, now only when I want to dress up. Funny, it is very cheap, but looks very impressive and I can’t count the number of compliments I got for it. A lot of people want to hold it.

Nice! I’m looking forward to more watch reviews

A shame really that on the leading watch forum there’s so little interest in this cheap market segment, it sounds like there’s many chinese watches that do the job very well. After budget knives, BLF may become an asylum for budget watch discussions as well

Nice looking watch, I do like the style of that one…

I personally prefer a metal band, and the poor luminosity is a disappointment though.

Wow. Great value. I’d require a bare metal case and lume but this seems to be a fantastic value.

I just posted my second watch review, the Megir 2002.

Naviforce is not worth it, even at these prices.

Have gotten a couple of 9057 and 9044 and they all fell apart after a few months of EDC.

On the 9057s, the adjusting screw fell out, and the wrist band starts shedding its fake leather, same on the wrist band in the 9044. Banggood sent me new wrist bands for the 9044s but they didn’t match. Got a partial refund from Gearbest on the 9057s…

Don’t bother with them if you’re looking to wear them on a regular basis - the won’t take it :frowning:

Edit: Forgot to mention that the 9057s couldn’t keep the time. Sometimes they were 20 minutes ahead, the next day they were 12 minutes behind…

Thank for the heads-up, Grieflar.

The 9040 has held up so far, but it has only been a month or so. It has also kept accurate time as well. If that changes, I will edit my review to reflect my experience.

I also bought a 9052 and just received it. l will be wearing it for a few days, then submit a review. I hope it holds up!

Thank you for your review. I read your other watch reviews too, but this review sold me on a Naviforce watch. I bought an NF9066M. Hopefully it keeps time well.

I wonder what other cheap watch brands use Japanese movements and have a decent build quality.

I hope it does well for you also. Mine is still holding up and keeping accurate time.

I don’t really know how many other companies use Japanese movements, but I have a few more coming in that I will check. Some autos as well.

I tried odering from Gearbest. Delivery times were too long. I found an alternative website for Naviforce Watches that ships faster.

_they do not claim to be waterproof, right?==oh wait they do, sort of, no actual rating, just the word

and there is no back light or lume?==you said it was spotty and weak

good review though, i was curious about the naviforce in general
i see them on the chinese sites

one thing i notice is that they are HUGE, that probably makes them cheaper, actually
they are wide AND deep

i also notice that your pictures do not make the watch look as nice as the naviforce pix, i assume yours are accurate

thank you for sharing!!

So, how long did this watch before falling apart? :smiling_imp:

I bought a Naviforce analog/digital watch from Banggood about a year ago for about $16, and after a few months the digital LCD functions stopped working. I figured it needed a new battery, so I tried to unscrew the back by tapping on the notches, finally getting it to move a bit. But I found that it actually just snapped on, and the shock from the removal attempt had caused the hands to fall off. There were two batteries, and both tested OK, but the LCD was still blank. I got the guts removed, and replaced the hands, so the analog mechanism works again, but the digital still does not work.

Mainly I wanted to point out that this watch had a “fake” screw-on back, and others may also.

The metal band was also a challenge to remove links, but not bad once you know the trick.

Nowadays we can get genuine Casio watches for under 20 bucks. And for that price you have a reliable watch, a long-lasting battery, and good water resistance!

problem is most likely the connection between the 2 boards - i HATE 2 battery watches!
it;s a compression fit and the connector gradually compresses and quits making contact…
