The BLF Q8 is a very powerful flashlight that requires some knowledge before and during use.
The Q8 is intended to be used with button top cells.
The use of protected cells is highly recommended.
Please make sure to install the cells correct, the button in the direction of the head/LEDs.
The Q8 is a very bright flashlight, do not point the beam at others.
Never leave the flashlight ON unattended.
The Q8 is not a toy, do not let children play with it.
Hold it when in use to monitor the temperatures and turn the light off or switch to a lower mode when it starts to become really warm.
Turn the Q8 off and let it cool if it gets hot.
Use the lock-out sequence to deactivate the switch before putting the Q8 in a pocket or bag.
When you want to store the light for a longer period of time, make sure it is clean and dry and in case you want to keep cells in it, lock the current by unscrewing the battery tube a bit (turn the light on, unscrew until it goes off).
It is advised to clean the outer parts of the light periodically.
Every couple of months check the threads, adding a bit of grease to the threads if needed.

The four high performance neutral white Cree XPL LEDs are mounted on a copper plate for maximum light output and reliability.

It works with just one battery with reduced output on the higher modes and with every battery added it can work longer and with two or more batteries used the brightest modes are fully functional.

The software makes it very easy to use.
Every user can choose to configure how the BLF Q8 works:
moon/firefly, brightness from barely visible to very low
how many modes the light has
the order of the modes (from hi to low or low to high)
ramping instead of modes (smooth gliding between 150 brightness levels with a click and hold. The light stays in the desired brightness level when the switch is released.)

The light is safe with features to prevent parasitic drain to avoid depleting the battery when not in use.
