Simon sells Convoys, but Convoy is not an OEM, Dipper is another name for the same lights for example.
And well Simon is not the most responsive of guys, has health issues and is working on the XHP light now

If we can find a OEM that is making the SRKs now design wise it would mean making the threads square, adapting the inside of the Head, the rest of the housing would be UB their computers already.
Should take less time to adapt existing CAD models and load them up to machines capable of working with the exact size chuncks of ALU we need then starting from scratch right?

Not reallly, yes Simon sells lights that are/look the same as others. But he has some original designs and lights.
He designs them and makes them (= he is controlling the proces) As seen before, Simon could design an entire new light and make it, and he might be able to do it within a couple of months.
But as you said, he might not be in the mood to do it right now.

That is indeed the easiest and cheapest way.

Yes, my friends and I are fully aware of the GB timeframe.

I was lucky enough to enter several recent GBs toward the end, so I deserve to wait!
