Astrolux SC copper yellow spot

I recently received an Astrolux SC copper and I’m very pleased with the product. However, there is a small yellow spot in the center of the beam when the light is on. I think that I’ve seen an explanation for this in another post but I don’t remember where. Does anyone remember what causes this ?

Thanks,
Mike

CREE, is actually an ancient word that means many tints… Or shifting tints, depends on the translation….

Just a side effect of the way the light us shifted in frequency by the phosphor layer, and mre noticeable due to the HI flat dome and great reflector of the SC…

Thanks guys for the quick response.

Just received my Astrolux SC and with a windyfire 14500 I see no yellow ring. What tint do you have ? 1A or 3B, I have 1A , just curious ?

I have the 3B tint and it’s not a yellow ring, it’s a yellow spot in the center of the beam. The more that I use the light…the more that I like that yellow spot.
