Q6/Q8 logo/marking what should we propose to Thorfire?

I prefer the larger Thorfire logo of choice ā€˜Bā€™ where it is a white outline and black fill, but I also prefer the white text on black background. I know ā€˜Eā€™ is white text on black and it has the larger logo, but the logo on that one is black outline and white fill. Then the outline is lost to the background, which is also black. Ultimately, I chose ā€˜Dā€™ but if I could have the logo from ā€˜Bā€™ on the ā€˜Eā€™ choice of white text on black, Iā€™d rather see that. Anybody understand me?

I get you, but on E it didnā€™t look good with an extra white outlineā€¦ What can be done is to keep E, and reverse the color of the logo so itā€™s black fill white outline while keeping the separation with the border, havenā€™t tried that one yet but once the logo style is chosen I will make several versions of it; these are not final versions, many details need to be corrected and Iā€™m waiting for a high res logo from Thorfire as well.

Barry is going to discus our wishlist with the engineers this week, because well that is slightly more important then a logo :wink:

We have not even asked for a high Res logo, will do tomorrow. (And tonight I am going to hack and slice in kolourpaint to see how A D and E look with that 8 pointed star instead of the Thorfire logo.

Uhhā€¦if youā€™re asking for opinions I like the thorfire icon much better. Plus thorfire is the one building the light (so far) so I see no problem with them getting a little nod on the branding.

I may be in the minority but I like ā€˜cā€™ above. The inclusion of the eight pointed star is suggestive of the symbol often used in association with the cardinal points of the compass, and since it is the result of a collaborative effort of people in different countries with suggestions from many othersā€¦

Well, I would take that ā€˜Cā€™ and change back to Thorfire logo, but white outline logo with black fill.

Thanks for the detailed explanation.

I would love to see the ā€œfaint distant idea of a bigger 26650 versionā€ come to fruition, not just to light up the world, but for the potentially amazing runtimes on a medium-ish setting.

This seems like a really exciting time to become a flashlight enthusiast.

I so like the long runtimes of parallel configuration.
My Uniquefire UF 1401 s still going strong on low mode.
364.5 hours (click to high every couple of hours to check cell status, on low it says 7 now, on high 4 (out of 9)

How is the direction clear? Not saying it isnā€™t. Just asking what clear direction you got from this. For instance, I liked ā€˜Eā€™ the best except for the way the logo was done solid white on black. I ultimately voted a different direction because of it. So, my official ā€˜voteā€™ doesnā€™t express how I really feel, but was the closest I could get with the choices available. Iā€™m guessing from the comments that others feel the same way. So, actually, maybe the results of the poll AND the comments given should all be taken into account to do a second poll, with choices more in line with peoplesā€™ stated preferences. The two biggest winners from this poll ( choices ā€˜Dā€™ and ā€˜Eā€™ ) can be included just as they are to see how they compare to the new 2 or 3 choices. Thatā€™s the direction I see from this poll, if anything.
