Balder BD-1P (XM-L) available now

Wow I've never seen a 2 14500 light before. Wonder how this does on 2 AA... maybe it can compete with the P20A2 MK II xml from Eagletac.

would be interesting to know:

- Current draw and lumens with 1xAA

- Current draw and lumens with 1x14500

- Current draw and lumens with 2xAA

- Current draw and lumens with 2x14500

such low output? the output will not not compete with the xeno e03 at all, unfortunately.

Isn't 190 lumens on 1xAA to be expected? We don't know what it does on 14500. Isn't the E03 only average on AA?

Xeno E03 XM-L is lower for NiMH, they measured in the low 100s. Not sure how much is it for this BD-1P.

the xpgr5 1xaa version of this light, declares 145 lumens with 1xaa and old4570 measured about 100 lumens, so is impossible that this light with ONLY 1xaa gives 180. eI am thinking that balder brand "inflates" the lumens as cheap chinese brands as "ultrafire trustfire"...

I will only beleive manufacturers as Fenix who declare ANSI lumens

Not sure if I should be expecting a response. I hear Martin at Balder is helpful when he responds but I wonder if I'll be getting a response.

. But seriously there are some models and specs in Fenix lineup which dont gel also, but not as bad generally. Its TK70 throw/beam intensity
and TK35 - T40CS OTF.

I like what Balder is doing but where are the freakin multi-AA in parallel lights?! It seems like AA are small enough to where that would really make a lot of sense. Most of what we have now is generally on the more expensive side. Simply make it 2xAA in parallel that also accepts 14500. That's a winner in my book :)

+1 and how about 3AA in physical parallel wired in series with a second battery carrier for 3 * 14500s, wired parallel

E03 runs on 1x AA-sized cell. The Balder runs on 2x AA-sized cells. i would never dare to compare the Xeno with the Balder.

Not even the Xeno E15 runs on 2x 14500 cells, ha!

because it is less efficient to boost 1.2v than it is to boost 2.4v up to the voltage required for the led. The 2AA in series would run longer (assuming the same current to the led).

I think weiser701 means parallel in a physical way (as in side-by-side configuration) , rather than electrical parallel.
