Just got a vc4 charger and two feilong 6000mah batteries. Waiting for my 5000 lumens dropin led upgrade from you. I can't wait. For the time being I have put in my aluminum reflector, 6d bulb, and cut the tailcap spring to take the 32650's.

A quick video of it in action

I purchased the new 5000lm 6d drop in from you last night. I’ll be running it on 2x 26650 5200mAh. Any idea what I should expect for runtime on high or what the max current draw might be?

Thank you for still making impressive drop-ins for Mags.

Well I got the same drop in about a week and a half ago, it is TITS! I am running two 32650 feilongs unprotected, I get like 3+hrs. Very glad to have this upgrade. One big important thing to note is you must tighten things in the proper order and not too much because of where the oring presses on the lens, I broke a lens like after two days :(, luckily I had spares. And you better have a glass lens or the plastic will melt like asap.

I charge my batteries in the van when I am driving between jobs. I have the vc4 and the stereo I built has a 2amp usb charge port. I want to get a second set of protected cells, didn’t realize the feilongs weren’t protected. I have like 30 protected 26650’s so I may make a sleeve to be able to use them.

*Edit: turns out my runtime of 3 hrs was wrong, using my mag as a hammer to bend over some nails caused it to change modes so it wasn’t running on high but 40% or some other mid setting. Finally managed to reprogram it, found it easiest to only partly depress the switch otherwise I couldn’t do it fast enough to enter the programming mode. Also, I had to physically press the switch twice as many times to enter the mode I wanted.

Hello,

On High the batteries last around 40 min. On the lowest setting around 54 hours. On fresh cells peak current is around 10amps at on high, but it will settle to around 7-8 once the over voltage has run off.

Thank you.

Thanks for offering the l6 reflector

The ss pocket clip that you offer is a little on the expensive side.

The price kinda reflects US customers getting it delivered much quicker than ordering from china.

Maybe another US based store has it cheaper? IDK

Hi djburkes. Thanks for feedback. I mostly keep items like that around for connivance. If a person picks up a light and wants to grab the clip in the same place. It saves people the 3 weeks waiting for it from China, and also provides the security of US mail for those who don’t want to gamble on the over seas shipping.

I’m ready to click the buy button, but I’m wondering if there’s a BLF member discount before I do ? Can you help me out ? I don’t want to purchase and then find out later I could have had a discount.

Hi crz6662,

There is. code blf6 will give you 6% off at checkout.

Thanks.

Personally, I would rather pay a little more and buy it stateside, just for the convenience.
There’s a GB thread going on for Niwalker products, and I wanted the new BK-FA30s, that-may-be less than local “authorized” dealer prices all said and done.
To me it’s not worth the headaches if there’s any issue later on. Cheaper or not. On the norm, I see where some have the feeling that, it only cost a couple dollars, it’s worth the gamble. Keep doing that while getting inferior product, and that adds up over time. To also add, if there are issues, the language barriers I can live without. I’ll keep buying stateside whenever it makes more sense. Dollar compared of course. :+1:
