Can you post some night time glow pics of that beast. I really like the day time look. You got me very interested in that watch. It has a sporty, yet classy look. Would you consider it heavy? I too would have to take out some links. I have some girly wrists. If I get one, I may seek you out for tips. lol
I will when I get it back from repair. About a month ago it stopped working. Luckily it’s still under the Amazon 2 year warrantee. Unfortunately, they had to order parts. Who knows how long that will take. It’s been a month already. I’m not happy about that right now
BTW, it is on the heavy side. That said, I do like the heft. I’m going to call them tomorrow to see what’s going on. Thanks for reminding me.
EDIT: I think you brought me good luck! I got the Monster back today! They fixed it without scratching the screw on back, or any other part of the watch! I was worried about that because I’m a picky SOB. Anyway, I’ll post the lume tonight.
I’m wearing this Guanqin quartz chrono this week. Already have the review out on watchuseek, but have to re-format it for BLF. Hopefully I will complete it in a few days.
The repair went well. Unfortunately, they messed up the calibration. It’s gaining 2 minutes a day now. I have to find a local qualified jeweler which shouldn’t be a problem where I live. This sucks! Maybe the hairspring got magnitized in shipping which would cause it to run that fast. I’ll wait a few days to see if it stabilizes.
Yeah, 2 minutes a day, could easily have gotten magnetized. That’s and easy fix, and so is regulating it. Hopefully it will be back on your wrist soon.
This is my current edc. I got it last year to replace the SKX007K2 I lost a couple years ago. I miss the smooth purr of the 7s26 movement but hacking seconds is nice.
I received my repaired Citizen Blue Angel Skyhawk earlier this week. I couldn’t be happier with how Citizen USA handled the repair service. Very professional and very fast. They kept me advised during the process via email. UPS tracking info as well…I didn’t have to go hunting for the information.
They were only asked to replace the movement, bezel rings, and crystal. They also replaced the entire titanium case, which I was not expecting! So…new case, new movement, new crystal…shoot…basically a new watch sans bracelet, capacitor, dial etc. Included in the heavily padded box was an invoice/receipt, pressure test results, my warranty submission paperwork and my original shipping label, very thorough…nice touch.
I highly recommend their factory service. Check it out!
Good to know! I have a couple Blue Angels citizens (I wanna say a Skyhawk and a Navihawk) that I haven’t worn in years as I didn’t want to beat them to death at work (industrial mechanic).
I bought a new watch for work last month because my current GWS G10 (black PVD) does not have alarms. I’m working with many small deadlines and I keep forgetting them, the multiple alarms and the timer of this Casio have already proven valuable. For weekends the GWS still rules, I can not tolerate a watch without trits anymore
