I still haven’t decided if I will buy this one. I really want it but I also have the S70… And I don’t really have a use for it so it’s purely for collection.

I’ve been ready to put an order in for the L6 for a while, and I’ve been keeping up with this thread as much as possible. But I have a few questions that I haven’t found answers to yet.
Questions for you guys:
- Has anyone received a NW L6 and verified that a direct thermal path MCPCB comes stock?
- If I wanted to throw in a new driver (like a FET), what do you guys recommend that will still work with the side switch.
- Any word from Simon on a host yet?

It’s a 30mm driver in the L6 so you have to make an adapter if you want to run one of RMM’s 26-20-17mm FETDD drivers. Any ways go to link and start at the Top drop down. :+1: Pick Turbo Timer (drop down) Unless your going with moppdrv? Firmware (drop down) Standard E-switch or Custom E-switch, or moppydrv. (I go Custom on Big Lights usually 4 Levels the standard I believe is 6 evenly spaced.) Then 2 cell+ (drop down) LDO w/o or with 6v LVP FET Driver - 22mm Adapter for 30mm to 26mm FETDD driver. 30x26x1mm copper sealing rings (hydraulic seals)

KawiBoy1428 is an artist. No doubt about it. Unfortunately on your question about the DTP board he is one of three test pilots that did not receive a stock L6 with a DTP board. Simon put a lot of effort into resolving that quickly and to my knowledge (per Simon) only three were shipped without a DTP board. One to me, one to Dale and one to KawiBoy.
Based on everything I know of Convoy and Simon’s work I can confidently say that your light will have a true DTP board. Bait-and-switch is something you will not see with Convoy. If you or anyone gets an L6 without a DTP MCPCB please let me know.
Myself, I agree. I’m still a “new guy” but I have learned to appreciate Convoy products. They keep getting better and better. Very dedicated and dependable company.

Has me thinking about a 22mm MTN-MAX 1A-6A Buck Driver - 5V-18V
12v X 4 amps = 48 watts
A 4s L6 wouldn’t be so hard for me I will soon have two extensions and a 2X ring tube.
Not sure if a 6v/12v SinkPad and/or L6 is up for that much though.
Speaking of that mcpcb the good people of SinkPad sent me a gerber file.

I’d have to go with the 4S 26500 just to help keep the length down as much as possible. Is this going to be using a XHP35-HI? I had been wondering what that led would do in these bigger lights.

Yes, XHP35, just got the new higher Bin cooler temp XHP35’s E2 3C’s yesterday. The LD-2 M2 driver should be here today or tomorrow? Have to machine a JAX X6 ( smooth) reflector O.D, to fit the L6, while I’m waiting on Simon to make the L6 Smooth reflector’s? Take a look at the Acebeam K70, big beam 2000+ Lumens and over 400kcd of throw, whats not to like? I have a K70,Jax X6 and a Lumintop SD75 with the XHP35 in them, they Rock a big tight long beam!!
My 5000k L6 just shipped. Now I have to buy batteries. Those of you who have received your L6 are you using Button tops?
I’m trying to source batteries from the US. Every 26650 on Illumn is flat top. The flat tops still look like they are raised a tiny bit on the positive side, is that enough for them to connect in series? I’m also looking at the 3 5200mAh 26650 options at Mountain. Only one of them is button top and short enough to fit, but it’s unprotected and the recommended cells are protected.
