It could be that nobody recognizes the brand “On The Road”. I discovered this group buy when some asked on Reddit if this flashlight was an Olight clone, and then I did some google searching for it.

True, I did like that it is a little larger than an S1. We all like our S1’s, but a bit more size goes a long way and this one should be pretty sweet in size. Not to big, not to small…
I am hoping to figure a way to put a triple in this, just for fun of course, but if not, it looks like a standard 20mm optic will fit and provide options for floodier beams if that is what you like (I do).
Brand is less of a big thing if it is made well, I picked Thorfire by comparing them to a Convoy, did not do too shabby for my first C8, but that was because I knew what to look for from reading BLF before I made an account…
I would like it if there were a way to disable mode memory. I like a light to start the same each and every time I turn it on. I prefer starting on low. I’ve got buckets of lights that I never use because of the memory. It just took me a long time to figure out what I like.
I would help you thin those buckets! I like to always have memory, if I want to start in a given mode, I just shut it off there.

falling into the abyss, bump
Just got the one I ordered with the charger and battery from the original special for $27…
This is a very nice little light. The quality is evident, hell, the reflector screws in! The kit has a nice looking charger, not some cheap junk, and the battery is a very low internal resistance and 720ma on my Lii-500 on the first cycle.
The Convoy Optics that Simon sells in his store, just take them out of the white plastic holder and they drop into this light. A little work with a toothpick, and the O-ring even fits… As was said, there is no easy triple option here, unless you can chuck it into a lathe to take out the threading for the reflector, then it looks doable…
EDIT: Forgot to mention…. Only showing 7µa for parasitic drain, so this is a pretty good driver over all. There is no visible PWM to my eye, and I seem to pick it up well…
