Just got the one I ordered with the charger and battery from the original special for $27…
This is a very nice little light. The quality is evident, hell, the reflector screws in! The kit has a nice looking charger, not some cheap junk, and the battery is a very low internal resistance and 720ma on my Lii-500 on the first cycle.
The Convoy Optics that Simon sells in his store, just take them out of the white plastic holder and they drop into this light. A little work with a toothpick, and the O-ring even fits… As was said, there is no easy triple option here, unless you can chuck it into a lathe to take out the threading for the reflector, then it looks doable…
EDIT: Forgot to mention…. Only showing 7µa for parasitic drain, so this is a pretty good driver over all. There is no visible PWM to my eye, and I seem to pick it up well…

Question about the price for this group buy. The OTR M3 with 5C tint price for this group buy is $19.49. The OTR M3 5C gift set with battery and charger on GearBest is currently $26.01. Difference is $6.52 but the group buy M3 does not include battery and charger. Interestingly, GB sells a charger with 2 TangsFire protected 16340 batteries for $6.84. See: http://www.gearbest.com/chargers-batteries/pp_22026.html. So basically, this group buy is for the M3 light only, which GB does not currently offer. So it seems GB could just offer this light only at the $19.49 price and the group buy would not be necessary OR the group price should be better. Am I missing something?
I’m new to these group buys so just trying to understand. If the final review shows it pretty much meets or exceeds the Olight S1, I intend to pick up at least 3 of the OTR M3 lights only and another with the charger & 2 battery set or gift set.

what’s the real world lumen output on this? also is it a better deal to buy the one from gearbest for 24 dollars that comes with battery and charger or to get this one and buy battery and charger separately?
