Looking for a three mode (moonlight), AA or AAA light for $10-20.

I have the copper one its the same just looks pretty! You can put a 10440 in these light it gives you around 250 lumen but they are not made for the 10440 so it might not last as long you may get problems with the light.but I’ve ran mine for like 20 mins on the 10440 so far its okay.

Enelooper - nice handle - didn’t catch till now… Where can I find “reduced price ” Eneloop AA’s? I need another couple dozen.

Ironically, I wouldn’t look for eneloop branded batteries if you’re looking for best prices, and don’t care what the wrapper says.

If you have an IKEA nearby, I suggest you get the white labeled LADDA batteries. They are very well priced at less than $2 per battery for the eneloop PRO equivalent (900/2450). I believe these are FDK sourced, just like the eneloop branded ones.

For regular batteries, I would look for Fujitsu pre-charged. Again from the same factory that produces the eneloops, just different wrappers. Good prices can be found on eBay. Look for sellers shipping out of Salt Lake City.

These are also the same cells Fujitsu pros rebranded

Now all I need is a discount code for Banggood or gear best for the couple Warsun X65’s I’m thinking of getting… To bad ey don’t have a US warehouse… Not psyched to wait a month to get these…

Should I even consider a couple 26650’s for the kids summer camps? If so, will the lamp take protected cells? I won’t buy unprotected cells…

Yeah, forgot about the Amazon ones. Those are good too.

I’m not an Amazon shopper, so they slipped my mind.

Yea i bought some where the Aussie dollar was on par with US dollar so for us it was a great buy. A 4 pack of eneloop pros go for 30+ dollars here

Wait! Hello!!! Am I readin this right that there are now a couple other brands that are using the same chemistry as the enaloops? Same flat voltage curves (or very close?). Oh my, me thinks me make a run to ikea, or check out the Amazon ones… Anyone ave any links to reviews on these batteries?

Much thanks!!!

Edit - Amazon has almost 2000 reviews, 5 stars… Ok. I’m sold. Is ikea the same?

Fot the kids?
Id stick with AA, its a major part of the attractiveness of the Warsun
It takes my OrcaTorch labeled 26650 nicely

Well the ikea cells are very new so no one can be sure. All NiMH use the same chemistry but there a lot of cells that are re-branded Fujitsu cells. we think the ikea cells are re-branded because they are made in japan and have the same characteristics of the Fujitsu cells and not a lot of companies actually make NiMH in japan! already by having a cell in japan it will be higher quality!

What everydaysurvivalgear said. Also if you go to IKEA, make sure to get the White label ones, not the Green-Silver ones.

My local IKEA hid the white ones in a secluded location because they wanted to clear off the older Green-Silver ones. If you don’t see the white ones, ask the staff.

Still interested in alternative flashlight ideas for 1 or 2 AA’s… The Warsun X65 is still interesting, but frankly, I’ve had a number of zoomies and they all break in days of kids using them. Is the Warsun X65 a solid light?

Non zoom could be better water resistant
It is just I don’t know of any Sib $15 light that takes 3xAA
There are lots that take 3xAAA though

What about the Hugsby torches? No bonny colours but they’re acknowledged to be very good. I have an AAA, an AA, an AA x2 and an AAA x3. All were less than £6/$9 or so.

I was going to say these but the xp1 and xp2 only have one mode. But the xp2 is bright and cheap.

‘Moonlight’ is in the title, so I guess those are a no-go.

Pardon a dim old Geordie for being a bit thick - totally forgot about the moonlight……

The successor of the Warsun X65 is the Warsun X50. Same body, better LED (XM-L2 instead of XM-L), price about 1$ more. This light is very solid, I gave it to my 8 year old son a couple of months ago. It fell down quite often, still works perfect. Best zoomie you can get for that money.
There also is a 3 color version of this light: “Sharp Eagle ZQ-SH-01”. White/amber/blue, but I would rather recommend the X50.

Thorfire TG06

Nice modes using one AA Eneloop.
