Also, the CNQG brass AA light would be a nice host for a BLF special edition. All it needs is a better emitter and a better driver, and the driver designs are already on oshpark. It would end up being 14500 only though, if using a BLF driver.
I got three of the hosts and am planning to mod them… but I’ve had them for quite a while and I’m dragging my feet.
Anyway, looking forward to seeing how this goes. 
I like the clip, the one which secured by thread, not just attached on to the body.

I’ll take it in copper if it’s reasonably priced (like $50). No interest in Brass or Damascus for $500.
I like the brass prototype, would be interested in a copper version… The Damascus one has flat spots in the tube for logos but it could look out of place if there’s no engraving. I think a knurling or tube pattern will suit it better.
14.6mm driver, 10.5mm star.
The flat spots don’t look good on brass, but I think it will looks great with dama paterns.
First thought is 0.2-3-25-100 lumens on Nichia, but we just found that 0.2lm is barely noticeable. pictures below:
