Got an email from Alfred overnight saying they were running slow after their site was attacked. He said early orders shipped Monday and status updates were under way. My light now shows "shipped"

I got an e-mail from Alfred 11-7-11 saying

" . . . yes Monday the orders were dispatched via Hong Kong post."

I'm putting aside all the . . . whatever . . . this is my first triple . . . kinda excited.

Alfred email said shipped on 11-7-11 via Hong Kong post but I haven't received till today! Does anyone have this light?

Got another email from Alfred the actual shipment was on 11/14!

So no one has received their light yet? Is it just me, or are we nearing the point where we complain to PayPal?

I know it's not out of the ordinary to wait over 14 days from china, but usually someone gets it a lot quicker - and quite a lot in here took part in the offer.

I remember he said you guys should receive the lights mid-November and November is almost over.

I'm glad i didn't jump on the sale. Or else i'll be sitting on fire right now.

My order was placed 10/30 and supposedly shipped the next Monday. Starting to wonder if my money is gone. Thank goodness for PayPal...

I got another reply to my e-mail. He said to let him know if it didn't come by Wednesday. Didn't come today so . . .

Given the aggressive tone of the original sales thread, you may want to start pursuing remedies NOW, rather than later.

I've not received mine either, I just hunted through my paypal and found I paid for the light on the 28th, but I'm not sure when they shipped the light. I checked my account on Onestopled and it showed it was shipped around the time I checked, which was the middle of Nov, but did not have a shipping date.

Really curious if and when people start getting them. I'm going to give it a few more days before I file a claim.

It's Wednesday and, no light. I sent him another nice e-mail but, having never had anything like this happen before, I have to ask; is it smart to wait until right before the 45 days to start the process or should we all just say, screw it and file claims all at the same time?

My Paypal shows paid on 10-28-11 so, I'm thinking this guy gets another week from me and then I'm all done.

I just started a dispute with PayPal. Paid a month ago and supposedly shipped 3 days later. Not a happy camper!

Well, with PP it's a step-by-step process. Sort of like arbitration with a drunk and reckless arbitrator. ;)

If you haven't done so already, I'd file a dispute now. Everything you do from there on out, including all communications, are on the record and PP can review all of it. You don't have to file a claim yet. As I see it, at this point, that's a "no harm, no foul" type of situation.

As for filing a claim, my personal policy is to go with my gut. There are some vendors that I trust. Back when I ordered a lot from DX, I would trust their word and they would trust me, well, to some extent, obviously. I didn't have to jump through some hoops when things went wrong and if the people I knew there told me they'd make things right, I knew they would. There are a couple of eBay sellers that I trust as well (365digital being one: a while ago I ordered a flashlight and after a month, I basically paged them with a polite "soooooo... what's up"; they offered to re-send since this was meant to be a gift and trusted me to pay for the 2nd light, which I did of course). If some guy I had no prior relationship with and that nobody I trust had vouched for, told me "your light is in the mail", I'd consider it the same as "your check is in the mail" and act accordingly.

Just got an email from OSE Holdings (1stopledshop) saying my order status had been changed to "canceled" about an hour afterI started PayPal dispute. Seems it would be hard to cancel an order shipped 4 weeks ago. I believe Al has been playing with our money. Sure doesn't look like he's been shipping lights.
