Okay, I’ve wasted enough time watching the dispute over these lights.
It seems to me a PayPal claim may be the best resolution of the problem.
I have an investment in two of these lights since BG would not allow a cancellation of the second order (even though the option was still available). One of the lights has fried springs and a chipped LED. Both have sloppy threads in the zoom. The other light is not used because it needs serious mods to be safe and the kind of mods everyone is using are not permanent fixes. I have not seen a real solution for the shorting of the parabolic to the soldered wires. Yes, I know there are “fixes” for this but none of them are such that one can be certain there will not be a problem in the future.
My complaints are:
- High potential for dangerous short under parabolic disk.
- Not a Jax Z1 host.
- Wrong size pill.
- Wrong gauge wire.
- Wobbly zoom threads.
- Risk of short due to poor battery insulation.
- Not a Jax Z1 lense.
- Not compatible with Jax Z1 extension part.
- No lense cover as shown.
Can someone please summarize the experiences that others have had with a PayPal claim?
It’s a bit much for me to read through the many threads concerning this light and all help would be appreciated.
I don’t want the expense of sending these lights back but I’d rather have one genuine Jax Z1 which I can mod to make what I truly want than to have two potentially dangerous torches that will never be to the same standard of a Jaxman.
I’m just weighing the costs of moving forward and would like to make certain that BG knows how seriously offensive this has been to many customers. I don’t have the time to be drug through the hoops that I see many have been made to jump through trying to get a serious resolution to this matter. My email to Cyberescudo weeks ago was never responded to.
Any experiences with PayPal claims would be appreciated. What should I expect?
