Official Thread for COMETA Refunding - Problem solving

I will repeat what I have said before BG has my money time to boycott them

Bugsy36……
Sadly, I must totally agree with you when you say this is not the first time … nor will it be the last when poor quality lights will be delivered to trusting buyers. Seems that is the way the world is going these days in many instances in fact.
That is truly a shame………

I agree with you also that there is nothing to argue about concerning this light.
bella-headlight & others have made good points about it. You & a few others have made your points… good also.

People can read all the information & decide for themselves if they feel they got what they were promised and paid for.

It is pretty simple. And I totally agree with what you said…. “Nothing more and nothing less.

Cause that is what it all boils down to… the informed choice of the trusting buyer……
Nothing more and nothing less……… :+1:

If you file a dispute you will be 100% refunded. Do not even waste time providing photos/videos etc.

I got a full refund just providing a list of things that was wrong with the light.

THIS LIGHT IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH PAYPAL.

You will get a refund since there have been so many complains and explanations before you.

I filed a paypal dispute and won but was required to send the lights back which I didn’t do because of the high cost. In my case, no refund.

Ha the issue with sending a BLF special back (even if shipping would be covered) is that I order a special and do not want to sent it out. So no win there.
For the Cometa, its flaws and mayhem have teached me a lot for the Q8 so for that reason alone I would not part with it. I have it boxed in my line of sight and if my issues get dealt with it will be out of its box in my line of sight from where I sit behind my PC
It will stay there boxed or not until all Q8s are in peoples hands as a constant reminder of the lessons I must not forget.
I saw the pressure build to release it and well we can expect the same kind of pressure for our Q8. 1 glance at the Cometa will make me withstand it

@the millers Q8 project

Lets Start with the pressure: :+1:

WE are near to 500!!! :sunglasses:

Pls give US a timetable, even it is Xmas. :innocent:

we will send one plastic cover for the COMETA

and 2 20AWG wires

and a insulation disk.

NO!

This is absolutely disrispectful!
After conutless messages to you by our Staff, after promising… this is still what you offer?
Memers did not buy a DIY light, this is not a DIY project.

BangGood person that wrote the above message, we know why you are writing this only now.

We know you read the messages we write, however let me remind you for the 1000th time that this “kit” won’t fix:

- the light not being a customized Jaxman Z1

- wobbly threads

- underperforming lens

- driver shorting inside the pill

  • all the DOA tailcap

The awg wires needs to be soldered on the light by the member, and this not all members can do, PLUS this is not a DIY project.
You know all this problem, and you still sell the light without any worry for the people who can buy it.

You sent a new pill for avoiding shorting in the driver but the holes for the wiring are too small and cut the wires.
This is disrispectful towards all the members who believed your words about a real fix, to all the members BangGood tricked into getting a new (broken) cometa instead of a refunding, to all the unpublished and censored bad reviews on your site, and all the member whom refund was refused… and to me and Wonwurster, that have taken on this broken situation with free help for the members.

To all the members who bought a Cometa:
Have you red all the “versions” of the kit, offered?
from the initial insulating gasket for the pill, to the one with new wires, to the one with o-rings for the head threads… and now just this “simpler” one.
Did any of these kits fix the light? No.
Did any of these kits fix YOUR lights? No.
How many pics and videos have you had to submit to BG customer care, in order to buy BG more time to NOT FIX THIS?
Have your refund, or paypal claim being refused yet, like to many other members?
How long are you going to wait to have your repaired cometa? the answer is forever, since the light CAN’T BE FIXED.
For the last time, this is a underperforming light, different from the advertised one.
BangGood knows the issue and his latest answer is coming back after many days, proposing an old version of an already proposed kit.
I will encourage members to report this behaviour on Trustpilot and other rating websites.

Can someone please sell me or send me the spare brass ring for the tail cap.

I have lost mine :frowning: desperately need it

I have no issue with the light regardless of all the negative comments / issues…. I can work around the problems as I can mod many lights  but i need the RING

Send me send me

Budda, sorry to say but if the Cometa is like the sample that got the OK from Cyberscudo the two first points on your list are not valid reasons for refunding and all the others are treated as individual cases
Banggood placed order at Manker for what was given the OK and now fix things via their tedious CS as in any product.

Please direct your attention to Cyberscudo and try to get him/her back
There is no shame in admitting wrongs anf apologize, well at least here of BLF it is a friendly bunch so sure we will welcome him/her back!

BTW they emailed me yesterday they send me another thing idk if it is a complete pill of just a driver, we’ll see when it gets here.

My email exchange with Banggood:

I requested a refund, they requested a video and photo of the shipping label.

I referenced this forum thread and requested a refund. They offered and new pill and insulating sheet.

I pointed out that my lens was cracked and the light wobbled. They offered a new light with everything fixed.

I declined based on feedback from this forum and again requested a refund. They issued a full refund.

I did not have to file a claim with PayPal. I received the refund today.

:+1:

Cyberscudo (the one who received a light with JAX Z1 written on it) if you read this your comments are strongly desired by the Miller.
If you could be so kind to answer all the pm from the staff, that would be good also.

Amen! :+1:

Can you send me a private message, I would like to have you mail me the parts.

Paul

I don't see JAX Z1 written anywhere on this Final Sample detailed here: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/37235/577. Are you saying he did not receive this light and did not take all these pictures?

Oh boy - I'm totally guessing here: maybe he received those first 3 pictures from Manker/BangGood, then took the remaining ones of the one he received which was a modded Z1? I notice now those last 3 pics are hiding the area of the name plate. The 11th picture does show the CPF Italia logo, so maybe this was just a mix of pictures from different sources combined together in one post?

Yes Tom, it is a guessing game, please Cyberscudo just come out!

And correct me if I am wrong
CPF Italia wants my:
Email
PayPal
Order number
Tracking number

Is it OK to change some letters to an X because I really feel like I should not give this info.
So I am going to gather the info asked for but will put some xx where letters go, is that OK?
(Seems like a lot of work besides taking pics and emailing banggood but I applaud your work and know you want it to stand strong
Thanks again for your efforts!

I'm just trying to find out, as best we can, what happened. Buddha keeps claiming Cyberscudo didn't receive a Cometa final sample, but we have those pics staring at us from his post. So I'm thinking now in all innocence, the pics that show the Cometa branding was not in his hands, just that he put together a collage of pictures to document the production light as best he could. I might have done the same thing under the circumstances - he probably honestly wanted to present all the info he had together in one post. Sadly, there was some shell game, or just really bad or missed communications goin on he probably wasn't aware of that was in progress, or about to happen.

Well, this is all a possible scenario anyways... I passed along my order info, so sure whatever happens will take time. All I got invested so far is some parts (about $20 - replacement lens for the cracked one, LED) and some modding time.

“We have not reached a deal about the refunding of the shipping fees.”

If I have to pay the shipping costs myself this will be a no go for me as it is about $70 tracked for me to receive a $40 refund :person_facepalming:
I will wait to see if a deal can be struck for either BG to cover the shipping costs or not require the return of the light before pm”ing my details.
One thing, & I am no way disrespecting the work you & Buddha have put in to try & sort this out, but why are our details even required ?
BG will already have all the necessary details surely ?

We need
your Banggood email, your paypal email, your order number, transaction number and tracking number.
We know it’s a lot to ask.
If you (The Miller, or any other member) send us a partial number (with the XXX), we don’t know if it is enough.
If you send us a partial number, we may ask you again for the whole information in the future.
