Updated: For sale custom P-60 Drop-ins XML, XPG, XRE and others available.

Yes these are BLF exclusives and I have some moon lows that work so you can go from 1 lumen all the way up to 800 lumens.

XPG at 1-2 lumens

XML at 1-2 lumens

I also have some 4B tint XMLs and 3D tint XPGs. I still have some work to do to make customer specified modes but I do have a couple programs that work right now.

Nice work!

Kevin

Thanks

Very cool to have the extra mode! I definitely want one, I just can't decide exactly what I want for sure. Probably a 2 amp 4B XML. :)

I would love a driver with a UI similar to a Quark tactical. Something where you have to click rapidly like 10 times to access the mode menu and then have 5 to 8 to choose from (actual levels - blinkies could be extra) and then they get locked in. I like being able to lend a light to someone and as far as they'll ever know it's a single mode.

You guys are starting to make some real progress in the programing. It going to be fun to watch further development. :)

If at some point you can offer intl shipping under 30$, please let me know!

4B tint with 4 modes & 1-2lumen low-low sounds interesting.

Erik, you've just redefined the P60 DropIN! They are perfect!

Good work!

Thanks guys, I wish I had more time so I could make one for everyone that asks. The next big breakthrough is going to be custom modes defined by the customer. I know some folks have this down, but I am still working on it and as soon as I have a breakthrough I will post it up for all to see.

Here is a little teaser a couple customs I made for a special customer who had some interesting demands.

Two 9 chip drivers 3.1 amps and one 10 chip 3.5 amps

Some 3D tint XMLs from illumination supply and no I don't stock these.

Perfectly centered and focused SMO smooth refelector.

Drop ins all buttoned up and ready to go.

I am really enjoying my Trustfire F-15 since you put a Neutral XML and a 5 mode driver in it .

And the P60 neutral XPG 5 mode dropin is awesome .

Thanks again .

I really glad you like it. I am always a little leery about upgrading lights I never know what is going to pop out at me when I open the package, but the F15 upgrades have turned out pretty good Foy loves his also. The P60 3D XPG with the firefly low is my personal favorite. I hope you get many years of service out of them.

I got the beautiful drop-ins. Painfully bright, nicely spaced modes...excellent! Perfect for a hand-held.

Thanks,

Kevin

to ask if you can do a SMO reflector XR-E with modes like this:

Medium ~1,0A; High ~ 1,5A; Moon (probably 2-4 lumens fit my "moon demand" but no idea about the amps though); and Low ~0,2A

But I live in Denmark and I suppose international shipping would just kill the deal. Which is a darn shame since your work is so highly recommended and your pictures of the dropins show very high quality work.

Well, keep up the good work and please give us a picture of your builds once in a while. Then we know what to aim for when doing our own work!

Oh yeah I have done 1.5 amp XR-Es they are awesome there isn't much gain above one amp, but I have made some and pushed them up over 2 amps for short bursts with no ill effects. I have been really surprised recently by testing the upper limits of XPGs and XREs. There is a point of diminishing return were you get minimal light gained in exchange for much more heat, but regardless if you want a turbo mode for short bursts there is some additional light to had by over driving a good quality emitter if it's properly mounted.

I am really sorry about international shipping, it is a real deal killer. If you have any ideas about how to ship cheaply I am all ears. Even shipping into Canada which is a 4 hour drive for me is unbelievably expensive.

I will keep posting pictures as I have time and I really appreciate all the positive responses I have been getting on here from everyone, thanks so much.

If you had a nice new sleek L2P?

What drop in you you drop into her?

It really depends what you want to do with it and what tint you are partial to.

Right now I am liking the 5 mode program JonnyC gave me driving an XML at 3.15 amps modes are .002, .09, .65, 1.5, 3.15. That will give you well over 800 lumens and with a 1-2 lumen low there really isn't anything this drop in doesn't do well.

I have a new shipment of 1A tint U2s that are amazingly bright if you like a cool tint and some T5 3Ds if you like a neutral tint.

I also have some XPGs in 3D tint and 1A tint I have been driving these to 2amps with no ill effects and with the 5 mode you get a safe 1 amp mid high producing almost 400 lumen and a 500 plus lumen turbo mode.

I can bump the max up to 3.5 amps on the XML for a blazing 900 lumen turbo mode for short bursts but that gives you a safe 1.75 amp mid high that is well over 600 lumens that will run all day without damage to the battery or emitter.

This is just a fun hobby for me I don't make any money at it so it's really about what you want your light to do and I try to make it happen for you.

I took a couple weeks off for the holidays and I plan on putting some drop ins together next week so send me a PM if you want to talk more.

E1320,

Any ideas how high you can safely drive an XP-G? I see you're driving them to 2A. Is there much gain over the stated max of 1.5A? Where is that break even point where you just generate more heat with little gain in lumens? I'm not really interested in a P60 format, and my project should be better heatsinked than a P60. I've been awaiting Match's test of the XP-G.

When oldbobk wanted a couple P-60 XPG drop ins at 1.7amps I was honestly afraid to sell them at 1.7 amps because I hadn't run them that hard for any length of time. I have been running one safely at 2 amps for about 6 months now with no ill effects. This is a P-60 4B tint R4 on a small 12mm board so it will easily be visible if the dreaded pre meltdown purple color change occurs. I am very confident an R5 on a 14mm board properly mounted will handle 2 amps easily. An R5 XPG at 1amp gives about 348-370 lumen and 1.5 amps gives 463-493 lumen that's about 100 lumen gain so I don't think going above 2 amps is going to give a visible gain. I think the sweet spot is 2 amps unless someone proves me wrong. I haven't run one to meltdown yet so I am not positive, but I can say the gain from 1.5 to 2.0 is minimal but definitely visible.

here is the deal.

I am a person who is color blind.

When persons talk about color, I just ignore it

Would like 3 modules, each: 2.8A, L-M-H, U2/1a,

Low- about 5-10 lu; med=about 45-60 lu, Hi=max.

Can you please contact me at chuckhunt(at)hotmaildotcom?

It's bee a while so I figured I would update this thread. I started shipping drop ins with a new revision a reversed spring soldered on the bottom so they now fit Solarforce and other extra long P-60 hosts with no modification required. Also all 1A tint XMLs are U2s now and I have 4C tint R5 XPGs that are visibly brighter than the old 4B or 3D tint R4s.

New Spring design on all 105C drivers

New Neutral tint XPG

XPG R5 4C XPG R4 4B XPG R4 3D

I want this setup :
Neutral XML T5 in 4B tint,
1.7Amp driver would be perfect,
Smooth reflector,
3 mode high-med-lo with memory, regulated.
Do you think you can make it for me? How does it cost? Iā€™m using Solarforce L2P host powered by 1x18650 battery.
Thanks.
