Amazon in the US may be delivering the light and if they are then the buyer can leave a review and it will say ‘verified purchase’ even if they’re given a 100% discount code.

Guys,just come and take part in us.
They want to give 50 lights away and have the "buyers" get them through amazon checkout, so that the "verified buyer" shows up in the person's review. It's just a scheme to get a very high rating on Amazon, since probably the majority of their sales are via the USA and via Amazon. People tend to flock to Amazon and look for the "highest review number" when searching for something, so if they get 50 reviews with a 5 status, then they will come out tops in the rankings and make much more money.
It's been an ongoing scam on Amazon for a long time now and it's been going on long enough that I do not count on amazon reviews any more, because so many sellers are giving product out for free, that you cannot count on anything as having "honest reviews". I think the day of honest reviews is about gone, as more and more people who either have no money, or no values, will jump at the chance to get free stuff. I know I would, just because I have no money and right about now, not many values left, but I would still say it's a 2 or a 3 if it's only a two or three, so I don't get to do many reviews any more, LOL, because I won't lie about the bad side of stuff. I won't ask for a light here either, as I probably would not like it well enough to give it a 5.
Just how I feel about sellers asking for reviews. They just want to get their stuff at the top of searches is all. Just today's marketing style.
I hear ya, OL. I used to trust reviews, but these days we unfortunately need to take ’em with a big ole grain of salt. And for that I do feel like somewhat of a hypocrite.
I do, however, feel that there is still some value to be had. If I see a product without any ratings, I’m nearly certain to pass it on by. And while many “honest reviews” lack factual content or believability, I think there is still the opportunity for some folks to provide honest, factual feedback. Eg, actual runtimes, temperature of the led, PWM visibility, mod-ability.
You can usually sniff out the “fluff” a mile away, but facts are facts and can be useful to share, even if the individual got the product in exchange for their review. I dunno, perhaps I’m giving humanity too much credit 
For OL’s sake I’ll try not to get too carried away. Seriously though, I hope any of us who participate will be accurate, polite but accurate.
That said I’m in if it’s still going.
