LiitoKala 26650-50A 5000mah 26650 - great first impressions

Was the test done in a Opus? I think the it throws a higher than actual reading when doing discharge tests, when I had my C3100 v2.2 a samsung 30Q yielded almost 3,100mAh which is unrealistic, the same cell in my SkyRC tested less at 2,890mAh even when a lower cutoff voltage and termination current was used.

I could test again down to 2.5V and at 500mA rate, probably about 50-100mA additional can be extracted but I’m not sure about how far can this cell be safely discharged.

No Liitokala engineer 300

I have one of those 1 bay Opus chargers that got good reviews, don’t like it, with this warm weather it gets too warm

Just love my Liitokala
(Though even when that is not as warm as the Opus it still is warm with 27°C where I use it so I hook up two small PC fans (1/underneath and 1 blowing over the cells with a piece of 10*10*0,8cm copper resting on that tiny fan and the cells))

Internal Resistance

HKJ wrote in his review the IR is not good.
I push cells up to disconnect and see it a couple of times
then go with the lowest and some cells are gradually getting higher (the ones I use for testing now that it is all lights with build in chargers)

Second done
5401

5428 11mR
5401 12mR
Ah nice, these seem close enough to put in the L6 then.

I use my chargers that give internal resistance and other parameters as mere guide lines; I would not expect a plus $30 charger to give accurate results.

I do use the results found by chargers like Opus as a way to match batteries that are used in series.

Yeah same here
I kind of think that using the same device means about the same faults so still nice comparison

And the four Gearbest Liitokala cells just came in
Time for more charging tests.

OK the first two coming frm Gearbest are done:

5355mAh 10mR
5450mAh 10mR

(Ali Express ones)
5428mAh 11mR
5401mAh 12mR

The last two ar now on the charger for testing.

Good solid results IMO, within 100ma of each & similar IR.
I think that your charger is exaggerating the ma”s a little but as long as all 6 cells are analysed on the same charger that is not a problem.
My 6 Liitokala”s gave very similar results, all within 100ma of each other & all with consistent low IR”s on my Li-500 engineer.
These have to be the best performing unprotected 26650 cells around at the moment & only $20 for 4

Yeah
The ones now tested are doing great (started out of their little boxes so the second maybe 10-20 seconds later and their mAh is 2 apart
Placing, waiting till 500 stops blinking, long press for discharge test and they then go up first.
This means the 3,8V they came with was the same on both (now at 1654 and 1652mAh on the way down)

Gonna beep the inside of the S70 later and if no beeps are heard like with the L6 (one probe on bare ALU the other inside tube) I’ll do the same for the S70 as I did on the L6 using a magnet and not glue it into place so I can deal top and bottom cell every charge cycle with just one magnet.

I ordered these batteries from gear best. My package is lost, it’s stuck in Chicago customs for 2 weeks now. I thought gearbest would have a reasonable reship policy with the insurance purchase. I should have listened to others on here who warned me about gear best. They want me to wait three months for a reship with the insurance. Even if I ever receive these cells I’ll just pay more money and never use gear best again. Most companies it’s a month or 60 days. But 90 days from shipped for a reship is ridiculous to me. I’d have no issue with 60 days. But either way I’d rather pay twice the money for cells then give them business ever again

This is the reason I buy from my own nation (U.S.) supplier almost all the time; I do,however, have the same battery purchased from
Gear Best.

My first choices in the U.S. are: Mountain Electronics, Llion Wholesale, and Illumination Supply.

My budget first eliminates aggravation which sometimes is difficult to put on a monetary value.

Lost =/= stuck in customs
Of course they’re not resend, just relax and see what custom does.
I think they were labeled “charger” with me and the two from AliExpress had a sticker “does not conform with EU blablabla” yet they arrived

I’ve had orders stuck in SHI*CAGO for 2 weeks before. Happened twice. But they came through eventually. Hopefully, yours are not lost.

This crap only happens when coming through SHI*CAGO !
Never a problem entering country elsewhere.
I HATE when packages come through you know where. ^

You have better luck then me anything I’ve had sit in customs for two weeks never arrived it’s happened 5-6 times over the past several years. I just don’t see the point of insurance if they make you wait three months for it. I buy batteries from Richard before and from imr batteries. But even imr is so so. They left some thing out my order never responded to my email and deleted my review off their site. I normally make unwrapping video but with a American based company didn’t think it was necessary. Granted it was a .50 item it’s was more of the principle of ignoring my emails. I think my days with gear best are going to be over for awhile. They just had the cheapest batteries, but there policy is ridiculous to me. 60 days should be plenty for a reship. Hell I use to be a Marine/powerlifter and everyone knows what it takes to become successfull at that. And gear sources will reship after a month or if seized by customs. It’s ashamed that hormone suppliers have better business practices then a legit tax paying company. That has insurance on the parcel. Maybe fastech or bangood will provide better service. I’m not even upset it’s not here yet or its stuck in customs shit happens. I’m mad that they want me to wait 4 months for my batteries. I guess I’ll just buy some more unprotected evvas from Richard I was happy with those. Imr has the awt 5200mah batteries as well Idk rant over

Yeh, forgot to mention it was my order of LiitoKala 26650’s that were stuck in Shi*cago. Just got them a week ago after that 2 week delay.

I’ll post if it changes, but as you Chicago customs has given me hell as well. New York customs is breeze slides right through every time. Chicago intercepts the most drug packages out of the all the customs around 13% New York customs gets less then 3% los Angeles gets about 5%. Even the guys on the steroid forums hate Chicago customs they are almost guaranteed to grab your human growth hormone every time. That’s stuff is the real fountain of youth. Wrinkles literally melt away. Hgh is why kids heal so quickly. Anti aging clinics use hgh and testosterone to reset the clock Customs is help less all they can do is send a letter. I’m still amazed that drug dealers will reship in a month of no package international. Or will reship with proof of seizure letter. But a legitimate company that doesn’t have to eat the cost out their pocket because of insurance. Has a 3 month wait time. Hopefully in time I’ll have some good news to post

And 5 and 6 are done

5408mAh 10mR
5403mAh 10mR

Combined with:

5355mAh 10mR
5450mAh 10mR

(Ali Express ones)
5428mAh 11mR
5401mAh 12mR

I am happy with them!

Nice caps on those cells! can't wait to get mine. But I'm more interested in the HGH - pm me where to buy!

Gearbest 4 for little over $22 incl shipping.

Just got my LiitoKala 26650 from Gearbest and did a 5A discharge test. Here is the discharge curve of the LiitoKala compared with a purple Efest 4200mAh I got from MTN in March. Discharge was done through a 300W Turnigy Reaktor hobby charger and the voltage right at the cell contacts was recorded using a Junsi Powerlogger 6s.

Edit: added pictures

The internal resistances of these two cells are very close based on tailcap measurements in my 3V XHP-70 light and the voltage right after discharge starts in the curves above.

The Efest curve has the distinctive hump around 2000mAh that is very similar to the Vappower 4200mAh cell tested by HJK. This higher voltage hump is nice since it results in increased performance in direct drive setups when the cell is partially charged. Indeed, the Efest curve looks identical to the Vappower curve except it is about 0.2V lower, which could be a result of the age of the cell increasing the IR.
