Got mine today. Still need to wait for the driver and xhp50 from different suppliers but quick delivery and very impressed with the light. Its much better quality than my other £20ish lights!

Finally found it, been looking since the other thread got locked. I was very interested in the light but not the drama, so I abstained. I should have checked the sub forums, I’m lazy and just open the homepage and scroll the active threads, don’t know how I missed it.
Mr. Miller, am I correct in assuming this is the same light with all the bells and whistles as before, like the high quality glass? And you’re the one who arranged this semi-group buy?

Hm interesting the Z1 was flown to London and cleared customs there and got shipped to Paris where it is now handed to La Poste for delivery. 2-3 business days so today, tomorrow and max Monday it shall be here!

Has anyone asked Hoop making a copper pill for this light? Would be a fantastic upgrade IMHO, and Hoop’s work is very nice. Judging by the way the other thread took off, I guessing there would probably be enough people interested to make a run.

I think it will be the MTG2 for mine.
Couple of pics.
LD-2D driver fits perfect, however its annoying although described as a 3amp driver it throttles down to 2 amps after about 10 seconds.

Bought some of these badboys, 5amps is a bit to much so i may remove the resistor for a 2.6a value
Nice, what does the beam look like?
Beam pattern is excellent, you get the 4 individual dies in the beam pattern as expected but i think it starts and stops about perfect.
If you are going to use an MTG2 it will look cleaner fully zoomed in as you wont have the gaps.
Disappointing with the neutral XHP50 though which is more like 5500k IMO.
Couldnt help but order a couple of XHP70s lol. heat dissipation may be an issue.
EDIT: One thing i am not happy with though is the fact the extension tube is a little snug for the 26650 batteries i have, oh well i can always sand them i guess.
I was bumbling around on Aliexpress, saw the Z1 on Convoy’s store and became very interested. Research led me back to Zaxman’s store page and I ended up pulling the trigger on a host +extension tube. It wasn’t until after ordering that I found this thread stating that I should have sent him over my BLF username and such. Whoops. It looks like the host has shipped anyways though so maybe sending username isn’t a hard requirement for Jaxman.
I’ve also ordered a MT-G2 5000k from intl outdoor. They’ve got them on sale for August, almost half price.
I haven’t gotten around to ordering batteries or a driver yet. Does anyone have any good recommendations for those? I’m looking to drive this thing pretty hard.
