Actually it has one of the cheapest prices around....esp for Fenix. Even Andy of Ebay (Olightworld)/taobao cannot beat that. But some stuff like Olights i think he cannot give a good price.

The searching is fairly limited. In particular unlike most other sites I visited it doesn't seem to have any filter or sort function. They don't have as many products but looking thru 18 pages or something to see if there are any XM-L emitters (there aren't) isn't fun whereas with other site I can just sort by price or filter by price.

-very fast responses from customer service

-good prices (ask for best pricing before ordering)

-super fast shipping (<1 week from Hong Kong to Canada!)

-will recommend this vendor to anyone

-5/5

ordered my sc600 off them..said they would send an email when it shipped..I contacted them after 7 days or so and asked if it shipped..they replied that it had and gave me the tracking number..so not a big deal but they didn't email with the tracking as said but were quick enough with a reply email..hopefully the sc600 gets here in good shape..

Bought my (faulty) Xtar Wp2 ii charger from them @$18.99. This a.m. received prompt email reply asking if I will return it for an exchange. Just emailed back asking for their address, which I can't find anywhere. I may send the charger back but doubt it's worth the shipping/hassle/wait.

UPDATE:

During the past week I've exchanged several emails with Stanley. His/their replies were courteous and within 24 hours; this in itself is encouraging. I explained that return shipping is too expensive for me to be worthwhile, and quoted prices as HKe requested. Today I got an email that they will send a replacement WP2 ii without me returning the faulty one. Still early days, but promising so far.

I have only positive experiences with hkequipment.

Thanks for all the opinions. Does the first post summary look OK?

Does anybody know what the BLF discount code is so I can list it in the first post?

Thanks!

just got my sc600 from them..perfect product and fast shipping..thoroughly pleased

Ordered a few Thrunite Ti's in different colours from them! :D This will be my second order from them!

I emailed them with a product question (on the 5th) and it took them 4 days(today) to respond to me with an answer. I just hope the answer was correct and an item will be restocked.

Can only report good!

Long story short, I bought a D11.2 that did not really like 14500's. I live in Brazil and it is too expensive to ship the defective light back. They arranged a replacement without the need to ship the defective item back.

Very happy and definitely recommend...

good to hear their service is good even after purchase..they are my go to site for lights..

HKE desverves a "recommended" label imho, they offered to sent replacement switch for my Xeno E03 XP-G for free.

seconded!

Mr. Admin:

Reading through the whole thread, seems like pretty much overwhelming positive. I agree with kreisler we should add

[RECOMMENDED] to the thread title.

Thirded! I have been quite happy with their products and their services the times I have used them.

OK, congrats to HKequipment.net for their new RECOMMENDED label! Thanks for the buyer feedback from you guys.

I thought quite hard before posting this. In the midst of so much glowing approval it's not nice to dampen the feelgood vibe, but my only experience with HKe wasn't so good. Late last year I placed my first order with them for my first charger. It was an Xtar WP2 Mkii, and proved to be one of the many faulty ones around at the time. After swapping a few emails with Stanley, he/they agreed to send me a free replacement. Time went by with no sign of it, so I emailed again and was told that HKe's records showed the replacement had been sent out to me weeks previously. Well, perhaps it was, but I never received it. I emailed again explaining this, and I did get one reply, but to this day (weeks later) my last two emails have gone unanswered.

I can only think that either their CS isn't as consistently good as others have experienced, or Stanley has decided that I'm a scammer not worthy of further communication. Either way, it's left a bad taste. Maybe I was just unlucky.

@ Kreisler:
"Let's not embarrass the dealer by multiple "i havent received the item yet what now?"-emails but be more patient. Please."

So we should all continue to pay hard earned money for items that arrive broken (or don't arrive at all) and then either say nothing about it or praise the seller to the skies?

On 9 Dec Stanley sent the email agreeing to send me a replacement charger. I waited nearly five weeks before enquiring about it. Stanley's response email re the replacement having been shipped "a few weeks ago" was sent on 12 Jan. In this email he apologised for the fact that the replacement hadn't arrived, and offered to send a second replacement. His exact wording was "..will you accept arrange another pack?" I agreed rather reluctantly, explaining that I felt badly about it as he had already sent one replacement, and I offered to wait longer if he thought there was a chance the first replacement might still arrive. This was the first email to which he didn't reply. I waited a week, then sent another similar email a week later on Jan 20th, asking very tactfully if he thought I should just buy another charger. No reply to this, either. I haven't emailed since. It's been at least 60 days since he says the replacement was sent. I haven't exactly been pestering him, have I?

"Lensman, in other threads you've reporting too about shipments not reaching you (DD?, DX?, ..), havent you?"

Not DX. Despite maddening slowness, all my orders from them have EVENTUALLY arrived. Now in mid-dispute with DD and EasyLight. Almost at your '60 days' suggested waiting time with both these orders.

" I dont doubt a single second that HKE did send off the FREE replacement unit (and here i would have paid 2.00$ for tracking too)"

FWIW, I'm inclined to believe Stanley as well, or at least, to believe that HE believes a replacement was sent, but I'm not quite sure how that helps me. I wasn't given the option to pay for tracking, wasn't even told the replacement had supposedly shipped.

If any of this sounds like I'm giving HKe "a hard time" I'll gladly post exact copy/paste of every email I and Stanley exchanged, but it's tedious reading and you have the gist of it above.

As I said before, maybe I was just unlucky. Perhaps someone accidentally deleted both my last two emails before Stanley had a chance to read them. Or possibly he sent a second replacement, again without telling me, and this one also got lost in shipping. Who knows. Anyway, I'm glad your purchasing experiences are better than mine.
