1stopled 3x XML thread?

I've never had a PayPal dispute before, sure hope I get my money back. That new Ultrafire SC600 copy is looking mighty good for a couple dollars more. Will have to wait for money back on this, however.

That's part of why I've reacted so strongly. I asked him twice for a tracking number or some evidence of shipment and received no reply. The final straw however, was having an order canceled that he previously said had already shipped. Had that not happened, I would have left it at dispute for a while. As far as I'm concerned, the only order capable of being canceled is one that has not shipped.

Also; all of my dialog with Paypal has included references about other BLF members still waiting on their lights from this seller.

Well, this is the first time I've taken this kind of action with a seller. It's not that I don't sometimes get a flawed light, it's just usually not serious enough to go through the hassle. Someting like this however . . . he said he shipped all of you guy's lights on or about 11-14-11 but that mine was shipped 11-8-11. Now, every time somebody opens a dispute, their order gets canceled? Why would a seller cancel an order they already shipped? It's not like they can go to the post office and take it back. It's canceled because it has not shipped.

Ergo, he lied . . .

they do have a forum. judging by what ive seen id use a disposable email and a password thats not used anywhere else... just to cover your ass a little...

id go there and post whats happening and demand answers, each and everyone that was in on this deal. let other customers know whats up.

fyi, i wasnt in on this deal. i smelt something fishy from the start. not that i had the money for it, but still

my 2c

Me neither and I have a feeling that any negative posts on their forum will somehow mysteriously vanish. Generally, I'm all for giving people the benefit of the doubt and, given an adequate explanation, I may even give a vendor a second and possibly even a third chance. Having said that, I would definitely escalate to a PP claim now as well. PP buyer protection only covers you if they can recover money from the seller's account. If it's all gone, you are SOL.

If your CC has fraud protection, you may also be covered and, of course, you can always go to your bank/CU/CC company and issue a chargeback, but at that point, it's a chargeback against PP, not Onestop! PP will still try to recover the money and will penalize the merchant, but if they can't, they will try to recover the money from you (apparently even by trying to take the money out of your checking account if you have set it up for ACH/direct access, if what you read online is to be believed ).

Personally, I have trouble believing that none of the lights shipped out almost a month ago have shown up by now. We have members from all over the world and I realize it might to a while for delivery to Europe or the US (particularly at this time of year), but someone should have their light by now. In any case, there should be tracking numbers or some other form of proof of shipment.

If this turns out to be fraud and if anyone feels like going to the police with this, the only advice I can give is to contact the local cops. State and federal LE often have bigger fish to fry, at least in my experience, but the local cops in English-speaking countries do actually take these cases, as long as the complainant helps them do their jobs: ie. be prepared to answer questions on the phone (use Skype, Google Voice or some other VoIP service for international calls, as it's much cheaper), press charges which usually requires a signature, all in all nothing major. It also helps to point out from the very beginning that this may not be an isolated incident.

Same thing has happened to me. Alfred sent me an email 2 weeks ago acting surprised that I had not received the light. He also said he would check and get back in a couple days…no response. I opened a paypal dispute and sent an email to Alfred after getting the order cancelled confirmation, asking when I would get my refund. Just got a response…“the refunds are being arranged now…waiting to hear back from paypal, Thanks”. Has anyone gotten a refund?

Not yet! Still waiting Paypal's final decision!

I ordered the same day as you, I was able to file a claim, waiting for PayPal's response. If this guy did not ship any lights out, he probably never will. We can only hope he has a somewhat thriving business in L.E.D. lighting and he absolutely needs Paypal to keep it going, if not, kiss your money good buy unless Paypal can suck it out of his card or bank account.

I could have placed an order with DinoDirect or Manafont, received them, and placed another and received that in the time it has been since we placed the orders for this light from 1stopled.

I am wondering if Alfred was going to wait until he had 150 orders before purchasing the lights. As the thread got closed and I presume he didn't get a 150 orders he may not have bought the lights straight away. I am hoping they have been sent but it would be good to hear from Alfred if they were posted or not.

That would be one plausible explanation, because I don't think he'd be prepared to hand out refund just like that if he had actually shipped the lights.

Also, I too think it would be good to actually hear from Alfred, because right now, one might get the impression that he's stalling. I didn't order a light and so in that sense, I don't have a horse in this race, but I'd hate to see some of us get scammed.

Wrong! He's been lying to you guys, don't you notices from all the posters that he promised different things, even said it was send out to some. You're being too nice and naive to 1stopled dude.

I think you should change your avatar picture to 1stopled = avoid .

At least dino shipped out your stuff(even thou wrong stuff) and refunded your money, and apologized to you in the forum. (some people get to keep the wrong items too- like me- 3 free pair of unprotected batteries)

Can 1stopled did ANY of that?

Or even any other chinese vendors ever do that?

I ordered Oct 30th and then sent another AUD $2.50 on the 31st for the three cell upgrade.

Buying online always has risks. I am sure everybody is an expert in this already. Every vendor be it DX/FP/CNQG/MF has gotten it wrong before from my personal experience. HKE I've got a nearly DOA (dead 1 day after). The main thing, as always, is support....good support that is. The good thing with those smaller one-man-show dealers is that you can build a rapport, and you are even covered for return shipping if you are a regular.

Anyway, all the best to all the guys, hope you can get your money back.

Guys can yu please say (all) when did you ordered your flashlight. My order was on October 31st. Filed dispute yesrterday. Still have to wait 2 days to make it a claim.

You need to escalate a claim after you filed a dispute!

I believe that is what I said on several occasions on both of Alfred's offer threads and his responses to my posts are certainly consistent with those of an individual with significant psychological problems.

A quick google around the web showed that he told totally different stories on different forums and even his first ever post on BLF was an absolute lie and was there for all to see.

I have escalated my dispute to a claim and have cited this thread as evidence. Hopefully the pattern of behavior will help to prove our cases.

Ordered: 10-28-11

e-mail saying my order shipped 11-8-11 and evrybody else's shipped 11-14-11: 10-25-11

filed dispute: 12-2-11 and escalated to claim the next day. Didn't have to wait 3 days?

Lodged mine today (approx 41 days since I paid). My order was also cancelled.

Just received an email from "1 stoped"
