Bullshit, I’m out, don’t care for a flashlight that can’t be opened, first of all i had plan to coat the copper piece so it will prevent patina, now i can’t or ill need to damage the head trying to open it, thumbs down for whoever the manufacturer is.
Please take note that S41S’s head assembly will be glued. Producer does not want buyer to mess with the components.
I do not see this as a good practice. It basically allows the manufacturer so stuff whatever kind of crap they want in there and we just have to live with whatever it might be. Personally I don’t like it one little bit. I’ll have to thing long and hard about whether or not I still want to be a part of this.
Edit: also consider that those of us who really want to can and will get around the glue and expose whatever is inside anyway. So what the hell is the point? Just wasting our time and potentially scarring up our lights getting them apart.
First of all, you guys have to understand that upcoming S41S is just a stainless steel version of S41. Neither it is going to be S42 nor S41 II, which I have suggested repeatably to them since May. I am aware of the safety concern for previous MCPCB design issue and the washer fix method that came after that.
May know how many S41 buyer(s) have their light becoming faulty directly due to it? Without figures, we can't tell how bad the situation really was.
Just to let you know that I am not a Banggood employee and I have very limited influence for its design. However, Neal did ask me assess S41S and give him feedback after I have tested it.
It would be very important to know before ordering if the safety concern mentioned in post #132 was properly resolved. We do not expect new features, but the known problems must be corrected, and we need to be sure that this is indeed the case.

My post was not aimed towards you or your effort to bring this flashlight to BLF, it was aimed to the manufacturer who i know that wont read that and i must say that im disappointed because i like the flashlight but glued head is no go for me, probably can be opened with brute force but doing that will damage something for sure.
After some thought, although I’m not happy about it, I’m not going to back out due to the glue issue. One of the lights is a gift for a friend and won’t need to be opened. As for mine I assure you I will get it open one way or another, I’m 99% sure I can do it without damaging anything.
Freeme my comments above were in no way directed towards you. I was merely expressing distaste for the manufacturer trying to, in my eyes, hide what they are doing. What you do for the members here is very much appreciated. Thank you.
P.S. If I’m successful in opening mine I would gladly do the service for anyone else willing to pay the shipping fees.
Both the bare steel and rainbow steel look nice. I’m concerned about the glue though, and the likelihood that it might use the same green 219B emitters as the original. If I got one, I’d want to modify it. Or even better, empty host with no driver and no emitters on the MCPCB. Is there any chance of that?
I'm already in for One S41S with Nichia and 18650 Tube. If's it's not too late, I'd like to add one colored w/colored tube, also Nichia
My vote, if I even get a vote, is also no glue, but these will probably be dedicated weapons lights so I can live with it if I have to, I want both either way.
I already have a Manker E14, 4 matched rose colored nichias, works and performs flawlessly. NOTE: I initially put "De" brand 18350s (protected circuit) in it, and they would not go into turbo mode (but worked fine everywhere else. I then put nitecore 18350s in it and everything worked fine, even turbo. Then I put Orbitron 3500ma (rated) 18650's (protected) in and every setting worked perfectly except they were all noticeably brighter on all settings. It also weighs twice as much and you lose the small form factor, so I'll just switch back and for as needed.
Anyone know when we can expect these and how we go about paying for them and obtaining them?

After seeing the HT version I think I am going to change my mind. Too Green, was hoping for more Blue. I understand there will be variations and every one should be different… Perhaps I will do it myself later.
@ Miller, I have seen vids of heat treating (coloring) stainless Vape box mods. Material on these are thick and may prove to be different. Titanium is easier with better coloring.
Freeme; Please change mine to No Heat Treatment.
Anyone catch the XP-G3 button selection and XP-G2 in description of the plain SS?
BTW: It is really heat treated or is it some sort of rainbow effect anodizing that we have seen on many ecig related products – there is a name for that but don’t remember it right away…?

Yes, why i decided to cancel the “Heat Treatment” from my purchase. It looks funny to me too. Like a coating that will wear off.

I am also in for a Nichia 219B and 18650 tube. Thank You
Hi,
If I understand correctly, it’s $38 for an 18350 stainless, 4*Nichia LED, NOT (heat) colored flashlight ?
So count me in for one, with an 18650 extension tube (stainless, not heat colored) ( I did not see the price for this tube)
Thanks !
Hi,
I’m in for one S41S Nichia + 18650 tube, heat treated version.
Thanks !

One with CREE and heat-treated. Also the tube heat-treated.
Is the Heat treatment option going to cost more? If so how much?
What is the cost of the 18650 tube?
And Heat treated tube?
Re-read through and can’t find anything.

both lights are on banggood website now
stainless steel version
heat treated version
Nico -.-
I just saw that too. No 18650 tube yet…
Now we need the GB code…
still, could heat treatment be done by ourselves
Or would the glue be in the way for that?
It is done when it is done
