While looking around at lowes I saw a led light bulb that seemed to have 4 leds behind tir optics. http://tinyurl.com/lowesbulb
I have taken the leds and the optics out and tested it out by direct driving them off of 3 18650 batteries. I prepared a heatsink using the OL method and now I need to disassemble the maglite switch assembly. How do I take it out? I had thought it was a t8 torx driver but that doesn't work.
Also, when I tested it, it put out maybe 300 lumens of flood. Not great, but decent.
If it’s an older maglite, it will need a regular hex wrench, not a torx. I can’t remember the size hex offhand. I haven’t done an older one in a while.
