Tell Me How You Like The Fenix TK70

I told Rick the other day how much I'm thinking about buying a Fenix TK70. I know it's a big light, but it's got that wow factor. I can't seem to stop thinking about getting one. So the guys on here that got one or that have buddies that have one, how do you or your pals like it? I think I would love it. But they aren't cheap. I would have to save up. Thanks for all your help.

I like it a lot. It seals really well to the bowl, and cleanup is no problem because it's waterproof. Overall, it's constructed a lot more solidly than most other plungers.

Ha sorry, couldn't resist! If this is out of line, I'll delete this comment.

Seriously though, I don't have one, but I think it's pretty remarkable that after all these months, it's still the throw king for 3x XM-L lights. For my tastes though, an XTAR S1 or JETbeam RRT-3 XM-L would be preferable.

I love mine, but it mostly sits due to the size. For bumps in the night, it's the first light I'd grab though!

Made mine shorter by removing the tail extension and I run it on four Tenergy 5000 maH sub-C's with a homemade adapter sleeve. Just as bright and a big difference in weight.

I would love to have the head off of it, but as it sits just too damn big for me. I would take a Xtar S1 or RRT-3 like peteybaby said, very similar performance and much smaller.

I also find using it less these days partly due to the weight (i put 5D cells with another extension)

But mainly here in canada, daylight lasts lot longer in summer so I just don't need to carry it around.

TK70 still is one of my favorite

Well I may be ordering a TK70 from Shane at an exceptional price. It's so low I can't say here. Just checking out the battery situation with him. Buying from Shane I know it only takes 3 days to get.

Lucky!

Well I'm tired of dreaming about a TK70. Shane is taking care of me it looks like just like he always does. Rick knows how good Shane is to deal with. Plus I think I'm going to get a bonus. But we shall wait and see.

Who is shane.

He is a dealer I buy from that has great prices.

I don't know how anyone could dislike the TK70 with all the light it puts out, and with a company like Fenix backing it. Way above my price range, but still budget compared to other brands. If I owned it I wouldn't mind the weight or build style. For now I'll have to settle with my TrustFire TR-3T6.

Well I just got done buying one from Shane. And Rick, I'm getting the bonus we talked about.

Now I have to go get some Tenergy batteries off of ebay.

Mine is on the way…waiting

Congrats to you.

Nothing like being TK70 bound!

I'm going to be lighting up the neighborhood.

Thanks!
Just can’t resist after reading through all the reviews and posts.
This flash light hobby is a real addiction to be honest!

Tell me about it.

You won't believe how much I have spent in the last year on flashlights and batteries. I have got a big curio full already.

  1. Most of these I bought in about 1 years time. And that's not even all of them.

Funny, I've just recently been in the market for a TK70 (for dad because of NiMH) and now you post this thread. Thanks for the heads up!

I got a response back from Shane and now I'll decide whether I want to pull the trigger. That's a lot of money for me to spend on a single flashlight. It should be a little easier this time though because this is something my dad could use for a long time. He won't develop the desire for the next best thing. Once he gets something he likes and it works well then he's content. In this case, the TK70 fits the bill. Hmmm... maybe with all this rambling I talked myself into it already

Holy smoke…
Look at your collection and my mouth was dropped.
I probably going to get more but hope not as many as you LOL
