Here are a couple of knives that need to leave the Casa Del X, and what better way than via a BLF Giveaway ?

  • Recipient is responsible for knowing their local knife laws
  • I am not responsible for any mishaps, injuries, severed appendages.
  • Recipient must affirm that no crimes will be committed with the knife received.

I will pay for shipping. International is OK, but I'm not responsible for any customs duty or mishaps.

  • You must have given to charity in the last year, either through effort or material goods.

These are my giveaway rules; if you don't think they are fair, feel free to not participate.
I will draw 3 names from a random number generator on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 5pm CST.
Enough of that, on to the goods:

PICS:

Good luck, and let's see those charities !!!

I have read all rules and will obide by them..

I have also given to my local food bank in the last 4 weeks. Hopefully a food bank is considered charity. Edit: Also put the link of the charity in my sig..it's for a good cause..

thanks for the give-away..

I have read and will abide by the rules. In the new year I have not yet given to a charity as I do all of my donations at the end of the year, however I have made my signature your link as noted.

Thanks for this awesome giveaway! I am quickly becoming a knife-junkie and would love an addition to the collection! Thanks for your generosity Chicago!

Mike

EDIT: Thanks to those here, I was reminded of a Charity I donated too a couple months ago. The Winnipeg Pet rescue shelter, one of our no-kill pet shelters!

Good luck to everyone who participates in this fine giveaway. Thanks to ChicagoX.

Can't enter, but good luck to the those who do.

The most recent charity I gave to was just this week, PAWS Atlanta. They are a privately run no-kill animal shelter. Both of my dogs came from there.

Thanks for the contest, but I already have a EL-04 and I don't want the other knives, so I will pass!

Does sending a Fenix lanyard for free count as charity?

Thanks for the giveaway but I already have more knifes than is healthy for my relationship (and more coming) and I don't think I qualify, just wanted to say thanks.

I have read the rules and will abide by them

I have given to the Scottish Rite Hospital and the Shriners Hospital for Children just to name a few.

Thank you for the chance to win (even though i never win anything..... :-( )

Excellent charity work, the lot of you.

Huny, that doesn't qualify, as you sent it to ME !!! I am more of a basket case or head case than a charity case....

You could run the sig link, and I'll enter you.

I have read the rules and will abide by them

I gave blood 2 times so far this year to the red cross (so now let me stab someone so that my blood is used :p)

I really just wanted to say thanks for the giveaway as it is a nice gesture. When I said more knifes than healthy I really ment it. And furthermore I plan to revive my pre-flashlight hobby of making my own.

So if I should win anything I want you to send it to Mr Admin, ok?

Nice gesture, Mr X!

I have read, and will abide by the rules of this giveaway, of course!

I don't offen give money to charity, because I can't. We are strugling with a very week economy, and every penny is unfortunately needed.

I do, however, offer fresh food(fruits and vegetables) monthly, from my farm, to the local branch of Banco Alimentar.(transl. FoodBank) They then redistribute them to whomever needs it.

Fair enough.

Now I want one of YOUR knives...

Wow, ChicagoX; Thanks.

I have read, and will abide by the rules of the giveaway.

I have been a member for longer than 30 days from today.

I have given to charity in the last year, either through effort or material goods.

The Cone family just gave to the Pass It Along food drive, which I believe is actually still going on, so, if you live in northwest NJ...

My son's and I just spent a 1/2 day picking garbage up off the side of the local roads as part of our town's Preservation Society clean up weekend. Mrs. Cone usually goes, but had a wedding shower to attend.

And I always donate some cash to my local Bishop's Storehouse when I use their facilities since they are kind enough to let a nonmember in there to can.

And, if you'd like more exposure for War Dogs, I'd be happy to add the link, but one of you guys will have to tell me how because I doubt I can figure it out on my own unless it is so easy a caveman can do it.

I have read the rules and will abide by them.

Supporting the VisionWalk counts as charity, right?

Thank you Chicago X for arranging this great giveaway!! "Forcing" us to think about charity is a brilliant idea!

Good for you ChicagoX
I don’t need anymore knives so I am not entering. I do give to the local animal care and control shelter. They do kill dogs they can’t home but giving to them helps find more homes and provides food and care. We got our last two Brittanys from there and they were good dogs. Pure bred and all around sweethearts.

I have read the rules and will abide by them.
We are currently doing a 'Winter Campaign' here in my city. We collect donated clothes, separate them into groups and deliver to the most needed communities.
Thanks for the giveaway.

As a matter of principle, I tend to agree with your post, Boaz, but I think there is a distinction between bragging about what you've done and/or profiting from it, and answering ChicagoX's question. True, one could consider winning a contest "profiting" but none of us performed acts of charity just to enter this contest.

And, ChicagoX, just like I'm sometimes too quick to say something stupid and irrelevant, sometimes you are too quickly offended and unnecessarily harsh in your response.

I have read the rules and will abide by them

I have given blood in the last year, if that can be counted as charity.

Edit: Almost forgot the Vision Walk! :)

Whose blood?

Sorry, I think I watched too much Futurama lately... ;)
