I just told Rick today that Deal Xtreme is terrible when it comes to getting your order in a reasonable amount of time. I think I will stop ordering from them as well. They are dang near as bad as Dino-Direct but without all the drama. I placed an order on Apr. 23 and still have yet to receive it. Now I know that some will say that's about normal, but in my honest opinion 24 days sucks for shipping. I'll stick with my ebay sellers from now on.
I have my excel spreadsheet set to expect delivery 23 days after order, and that's about average from my experience. Nothing to get upset about, in my opinion.
At 40+ days I get cautious, not before that.
Only thing that I rely on is the fact that no two shipments made within a few month period will take same amount of time to be delivered.

BestOfferBuy has most of the items of DealExtreme and they ship much much faster (and somehow their packages also arrive very fast, special treatment from the Chinese post?). Just use them instead.
Or any other store. Lately I use DX only for reading the reviews, and then order from somewhere else. I wish other stores had so many items with reviews as DX does, in which case I wouldn't have to enter the darned site anymore.
DX processing/shipping times are hit or miss... this is nothing new and well documented across the www.
Ebay is not without its risks too, this also is nothing new and well documented across the www.
I have had good results with easylightbuy, fast order processing and good shipping performance. Good CS communication, with prompt email shipping status from their people.
I am in the middle of a transaction with aliexpress, and they too are processing my order in a timely fashion, with status updates posted directly to my sales order number. Each sales order has a discussion-thread field at the bottom, where I have been communicating back and forth with their CS gal. This has been the fastest channel of communication I have seen with a China www-retailer.... OUTSTANDING. Order placed on 5/15, they expect to ship in the next day or 2. I also like how they list the item quantity available on each sale listing. It appears at least at a glance, that they use their www sales portal as a tool to monitor inventory on hand.
This is my first time using an escrow retailer, so we'll see how that goes too.
I am about to place an order with Tmart. Their prices aren't always the best, but they have a solid BLF following, and they ship free from a USA warehouse.
DX has been a long time boycott for me..which sucks cus they were great when I first started buying from them..I don't mind waiting 1-2 weeks to get an order shipped out, but when it takes 1+ months to even get it out the door then that is just absurd..
Last week I received from DX a Jacob A60 15 days after ordering.
Fast, even by the previous DX standards.
Ditto. Took about a week and a half, from order to receipt, with excellent communication.
It's been 3 and a half weeks. That's pretty normal. When did they say the item shipped? I'll give them 2 weeks just to ship the item, then another 3 weeks for it to get here. That's still only 35 days. Then I'll start with customer service and around day 42-44 file a PayPal dispute.
I'm satisfied. About 2 weeks to get here.
I ordered 3 lights on april 29. Two of the lights shipped within 24 hrs which had SG tracking. The third light didnt ship until 2 days later which had HK tracking. Well, i got the third light last friday the 11th. Thats an incredible 9 days!!
Sadly, the first shipment has yet to arrive. It will be 3 weeks exactly on sunday.
Maybe shipments via singapore lag? IDK...
I just ordered and received a flashlight off ebay in less time than it took for DX to respond from a ticket that I opened on a wrong item delivery that I waited for 2months for in the first place!!!!!! (same item, and ebay got it correct)
At the moment it takes really long to get orders of DX and Manafont (they need 6-7 weeks and some other members in a german flashlight forum have the same problem). Maybe the german custom servie need a lot of time, but 6 weeks sucks.
24 days isn't that long especilly if something is back ordered.
I have paid for things online (DX, Hobby King, Ever Buying) that have taken 5-6 months to receive.
If you don't want to wait ask for a refund.
Anyway.. is it marked as shipped? If so, on what date?
I ordered a Trustfire TR-J12 from DX and I never received any confirmation nor email that the item was backordered. I ended up filing a paypal dispute and got all of my money back since I never received the item. They never responded to the paypal inquiry either. I agree with the statement that when I joined a little over a year ago, they, along with KD was where I placed the majority of my orders. Now, I don't even bother looking on either website since the shipping times have taken up to and beyond the 45 day mark.
There are too many other vendors that ship quicker. Too bad since they do have a great (non-stocked) selection. That's my budget .02.
And their Chat service is just as bad!!!! Sometimes I am waiting for an agent up to 45 min, I started the chat went and showered and came back and they still didn't answer me yet!!! Come on!! Do they have one person chatting and one person packing!!
Another day goes by and no order yet. I am now 100yrs old.
I think Deal Xtreme rates right up there with Dino Defect.
DX is far worse than DD, but both are not good lol

i'd give DD 1 star and DX -16 stars..at least you can talk to someone at DD lol
