Flashlights as IEDs? Here in the USA? Apparently so. It's bad enough when they let loose unintentionally.
I guess the old "dollar on the end of some fishing line" just isn't fun anymore.
Saw this story over at EDCF and thought y'all might like to know too.
Don't pick up stray flashlights boys and girls. You've been warned!

Even for non-flashoholics, I would think it's second nature to pick up a flashlight and turn it on.
"call 9-1-1 if you find any flashlight, no matter what color or shape."

I can see the headlines now, Obama declares flashlights weapons of mass destruction. Only properly licensed people will be allowed to have registered flashlights.
You might be joking, but the way things are going I wouldn't be surprised. If owning more than 2 flashlights without a license suddenly became a crime, I imagine we'll all be automatically declared as potential terrorizers!
I tell you what though, the saving grace is that this crap involved cheap yellow camping lights, and everybody knows that no self-respecting flashlight enthusiast still uses those things much. :)
As if I wasn't already evil enough owning multiple guns and a gas-guzzling pick-up. Now I'm going to be profiled for having FLASHLIGHTS, too!
